The apartments are a couple of minutes walk to the estuary where you can catch a small boat to Cabanas beach about (£1) return. This means that it never gets overcrowded and you can enjoy the lovely golden sands which stretch on for miles. Along the newly built promenade there are several nice restaurants and coffee bars. The place is surrounded by beautiful green and unspoiled countryside where you still find orange groves and hideaway coves along the estuary.

Changeover day
Arrival and dept dates are flexible (by agreement). We may not be able to offer access on arrival day until 2pm and you may have to vacate by 10am on dept day. Flexibility on times can occur except on changeover days to allow cleaning for next guests.
Notes on accommodation
The one bedroom apartment is situated on the ground floor which allows for easy access. The apartment is air-conditioned. The two bedroom apartment is located on the first floor with a large south facing balcony and access to swimming pool and is fully air conditioned. Both apartments are within easy reach of all amenities and a short drive to the historical town of Tavira and serves as a good base to explore both the Algarve and the border of Spain which is about 20kms away.
Accessibility
The one bedroom apartment is on the ground floor so there is good access for anyone in a wheelchair as the corridors are quite wide and front door is of an ample width. Entry to the apartment is all on the flat apart from one small step which would need to be negotiated at the main entrance to the building. Internal fittings are to modern compliance.
Outside
The two bedroom apartment has a large south facing balcony with table, chairs and parasol. There is a small portable BBQ. The two bedroom apartment has a key fob to allow you access to the swimming pool.
Coast/Beach
A couple of minutes walk from the apartments you are on the newly built promenade where you can catch a small boat across the small estuary (about £1 rtn) to the beautiful, unspoilt beach of Cabanas. The golden sandy beach stretches on for miles as far as the eye can see.
Golf
There are some fabulous championship golf courses within close proximity such as Quinta de Cima, Monte Rei North to name but a few. If you prefer something more local you can visit Benamor Golf Resort a few minutes drive away (18 holes, par 71).
Travel
Faro Airport is approximately 45km from Cabanas. Their is the option of catching a shuttle bus for about £20 return per person by pre-booking online via the Easyjet website. Alternatively, you can hire a car at the airport from one of the many operators there. Any queries regarding airport transport, please contact me and I will try and assist you.
Distances
Distances to Tavira 4kms, Faro 45kms, Monte Gordo 17kms, Vilamoura 56kms. The border to Spain is 20km. For the more adventurous sightseer, Seville is 160kms away. Just make sure you tell the car hire company you are going across the border.
Further details
Cabanas is a quaint, unspoilt village. It hosts a local market, banks, cafes and restaurants and some small bars. Apart from Cabanas beach you should visit Praia do Barril, Fabrica, Praia Verde, Cabeca,or Quatro Aquas which all short drives away. On the other side of the main A road you have a National Park. If you fancy something more historical you can visit V. Nova de Cacela which is a picturesque hill top village. Another place is Castro Marim which has an imposing hill top castle. For the party animal there are some excellent clubs in Tavira and surrounding areas.
Booking notes
20% non-refundable deposit upon booking. Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of £150 is required with the final balance payment. This will be fully refunded within 14 days of vacating the property subject to no breakages, damage and property being left in clean state.
