Changeover day
Some flexibility depending on time of year. We request guests to arrive after 2.30pm and depart before 10.00am.
Notes on accommodation
For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted inside the villa.
Outside
Private swimming pool (12'x 24' x 52" deep/ 4m x 8m x 1.3m ), above ground, with large decked area. Large terrace outside main living room with outdoor dining furniture. Terrace leads to south garden which has gated access to the main ridge. Far reaching views of the surrounding valleys and the Atlantic coast. Additional shaded decked area, with garden furniture to east side of house. Separate BBQ area. From the front of the house and north garden there are spectacular views of the Serra Do Caldeirao and Monchique mountains. This is a very private location. There are no adjacent properties and no passing traffic. Ample parking.
Coast/Beach
The central coast beaches(e.g Gale, Armacao de Pera, Albufeira) are easily reached by car within 30 minutes.
Golf
All 16 Algarve golf courses are within a 40 min to 1 hour drive from the villa.
Travel
A car is recommended.
Faro airport is the nearest international airport (50 mins). Alternatively, the villa can be reached from Lisbon airport in 2.5 hours. The villa is approximately 10 minutes drive from the Messines exit of the A2 motorway and a similar distance from the A22/IP1 motorway.
Distances
Alte, a pretty Algarvian village is 3km and Sao Bartolomeu de Messines, a country market town 5km. The Moorish town of Silves with it's castle and river trips is a 30 min drive and Loule, capital of the area 30 min.

For independent walkers, we provide information on the many walking opportunities in the immediate locality. Guided walks throughout the Algarve can also be arranged (from September to May).
Banking facilities (ATM),doctor's surgery, craft shops, restaurants & bars, grocery stores and fish market also available in Alte. Monthly street market.
Additional shopping facilities (fresh fish/fruit/vegetable market, butchers, supermarkets) are well catered for in the market town of Sao Bartolomeu de Messines (10 mins). Larger supermarkets are to be found in the Algarve Shopping Centre (25 mins) as well as in Silves and Loule.
There are many restaurants within a 3-8km radius of the villa offering good quality traditional Portuguese food.
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking. The balance is paid 6 weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit of £250 is also required.
