The Apartment has an enviable location between the prestigious estates of Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, and is also within the boundaries of the spectacular Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, making it a special place to base your next holiday in the Algarve. We are approximately 800 yards, 20 minute walk from the beach with its own restaurants. The property is best described as a Step villa with a secure garden in a peaceful location. First floor south facing veranda with table and chairs for six plus three sun loungers. Soft sandy beaches stretching for miles in both directions. Lots of great restaurants within a few minutes drive. The nearest town, Amancil, with shops and restaurants, is 3km. Faro airport is 20 minutes drive. Golf discounts can be arranged on some courses.

Coast/Beach
850 yards to the beach. About a 15 to 20 minute walk through the nature reserve or 2 minutes by car. Soft sandy beaches stretching for miles in both directions.
Golf
The best area on the Algarve. Discounts can be arranged for Green Fees on some courses. The Vale do Lobo (Royal & Ocean), Quinta do Lago (North & South & Laranjal), San Lourenzo & Pinhieros Altos golf courses within 10 minute drive. Vilamoura courses are only a 20 minute drive.
Special interest holidays
The Ria Formosa Nature Reserve has walks and cycle tracks from the property. Bird Watchers would enjoy the lakes at Quinta do Lago and San Lorenzo (with viewing hides). This is a 20 - 30 minute walk but can also be accessed by car and then a shorter walk.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport, approx 20 min drive.
Car hire is recommended but not essential.

3km to nearest town (Almancil). Numerous restaurants inside 3km radius.

Restaurants and shops within easy reach. Minimarket in Dunas Duradas beach club & supermarkets in Vale do Lobo 5 minute drive, shops in Almancil are a 10 minute drive. Markets in Loule & Quateira about 20 minute drive. The golf courses at Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago, Vila Sol & Vilamoura are all within 10 to 30 minute drive.

About the owner
My partner Claudia and I have lived in Stevenage for the last 23 years. I have my own business and am able to take enough time off to be able to spend most of our holidays in Portugal. We have really fallen in love with the area with the superb golf courses, restaurants and places of interest on the Algarve.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We love the Vale do Lobo/Quinta do Lago area because of the fantastic golf courses and restaurants etc available within a 2 mile radius. There are beautiful soft sandy beaches from Vale do Lobo to Quinta do Lago and the marina at Vilamoura boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Faro airport less than 30 minutes drive away.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is about 20 minutes walk from the fabulous soft sandy Ancao beach (2 minutes in the car).
For those who enjoy a more active holiday, you can take advantage of discounted rates at the nearby Vale do Lobo, Quinta do Lago golf courses in the area and many others within a short distance.
If you prefer tennis, the Vale do Lobo Tennis Centre is less than 10 minutes by car. Also, Barringtons Golf and Health Spa on Vale do Lobo offers a golf driving range, squash courts, restaurant and cafe/bar and gymnasium. If you are looking for great food in the comfort of the apartment, there are local caterers who can provide delicious evening meals at reasonable prices. Just ask for information when booking.
