This secure fully furnished apartment makes it an ideal haven for families with small children or couples wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of a busy resort whilst enjoying all the amenities close at hand. We have a No Smoking and No pets policy.

Changeover day
Flexible change over days, if stated prior to arrival. However, we would appreciate your departure by 10.00am and your arrival no earlier than 14.00 hours.
For July and August we operate a Saturday change over as it is always fully booked up.

Bedroom 2 with twin beds, fitted wardrobes and patio doors.
Bathrooms: Bathroom with jacuzzi bath/shower over, wc, bidet, wash basin with built in cupboard for storage.
Kitchen: Includes all the main kitchen equipment eg cooker, hob, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave etc. Also has patio doors straight onto the balcony, over looking the pool.
Utility Room: Provided for your use, ironing board with iron, hair drier etc.
Living Rooms: The lounge/dining room is a large spacious area, fully furnished to a high standard. The equipment includes, TV etc. The sofa can be made up into a double bed if required.
Other: The apartment features a large private corner balcony, which benefits from sun all day and overlooks a large deluxe swimming pool. Table and chairs are provided on the balcony, a perfect place to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine.

linen/maid service:
Cleaning and linen is managed locally and charged at £60 per change. Towels are provided.

Notes on accommodation
This apartment has been equipped to a high standard providing everything you need for a hassle free holiday. If you choose to hire a car for your stay you can take advantage of our under ground parking facilities. The south/west facing balcony makes it an ideal safe place for families with children. The apartment block is very secure and is controlled by video entry.

Accessibility
Please note that this apartment is on the 1st floor and is accessed by stairs or lift. The lift will also take you straight down to the underground parking where you can park your car.

Outside
The apartment balcony overlooks the deluxe pool where you will find toilet facilities and sun loungers for your use. Why not soak up the sun all day lying on the private balcony and then enjoy a glass of wine whilst the sun goes down.

Coast/Beach
The apartment is in an ideal position being only 4 minutes walk from the natural horse shoe bay, safe bathing and golden sandy beach. Along the cobbled promenade, there are many bars and restaurants where you can watch the beautiful sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. We would strongly recommend both Martinhos Bar and Pesca no Prato.

Golf
Praia D'el Rey: A 18 hole par 72 championship links course which is set along a beautiful sandy beach and has been voted the 13th best course in Continental Europe is less than 20 mins from the apartment. Other superb courses nearby are Bom Sucesso, and the Golden Eagle Country Club.

Travel
Lisbon Airport is approximately 55 minutes (Easyjet, BMI Baby, Tap, BA) Porto Airport is approximately 2 hours (Ryanair). We can also put you in touch with someone who lives locally who will beat any car hire quote, so please ask before you book your car. For those who do not want to drive in Portugal, they can organise transport from the airports so please ask. There are both easy train and bus links to Sao Martinho from Lisbon Airport.

Distances
The safe sheltered beach of Sao Martinho is only 4 minutes stroll away. Foz do Arelho and Obidos castle are 10 minutes away and are both worth visiting.

Further details
The central position of the apartment makes it an ideal base to either relax around the pool, or to venture further afield and visit the beautiful monasteries in Alcobaca and Fatima.
Obidos is a lovely walled town only 15 minutes drive away. It has the most amazing views along with some great little shops.

Booking notes
A 20% deposit is required to secure the booking (non refundable but can be transferred) with the balance required 8 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of £100 against damages/breakages is required 8 weeks prior to arrival and is fully refundable within one week of your departure upon satisfactory inspection. We would like to offer a discount to bookings over 2 weeks. This obviously depends on the time of year so please contact me for discount prices.

About the owner
My name is Katie, my husband is John we have a baby girl called Hannah. John and myself work as Paramedics within the East Midlands area. This as you can imagine is a challenging job at times, so really enjoy to get away on holiday and visit new places. Sao Martinho do Porto is an amazing place, which we both fell in love with on our first visit 3 years ago. Each time we return we know why we love it so much and would like you to share our experience too!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love Sao Martinho because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There are some beautiful beaches and the bay boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Lisbon/Porto airport a short drive away.

Unique benefits of the property
The property is just four minutes walk from the fabulous beach. You sit on the balcony, around the deluxe pool or enjoy a lovely stroll around the bay through the sand dunes.
