The apartment has 3 bedrooms (1 double and two twin rooms), and 2 bathrooms (1 in en-suite master bedroom with a bath and 1 with shower). There is also an extra cloakroom off the hallway. The apartment is on the first floor and has been decorated to the highest standard. Accommodation includes an open plan living and dining room, and an excellently sized, well equipped kitchen. There is also a covered veranda with outside furniture (including a dining table, 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers), that has great views particularly as the sun sets. The kitchen has been equipped to the highest standard including an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge/freezer and breakfast table. There is a spacious lounge/dining area with dining table and seating for 6 people, 2 large sofas, coffee table, large flat screen TV, DVD player and CD/Radio/MP3 player.

Changeover day
Arrivals after 4pm please and departure by 10am, so that the apartment can be cleaned for the next guests.

| Bedrooms: | Master bedroom has double bed, en-suite facilities and plenty of wardrobe space. Two further bedrooms are well equipped with twin beds and fitted wardrobes. All bedrooms have access to a mini balcony. |

Accessibility
The Apartment is located up one flight of stairs. There is no lift.
Outside
The apartment has one covered terrace and mini balconies off each of the three bedrooms and the living room. The terrace overlooks the shared swimming pool, the beach village and also has views of the golf course. Sun loungers, outdoor dining table and 4 chairs are provided.
Coast/Beach
The Praia D'el Rey beach is just a 3 minute walk from our apartment. It stretches for miles from Obidos Lagoon to the north to Peniche in the south. You can also walk along the beach to the beautiful Marriott Hotel. During the summer there are lifeguards on the beach and sun-loungers for rent. There is also a small beach café selling beer, ice-cream, snacks and sandwiches.
Golf
The 18 hole, par 72 championship Praia D'el Rey Golf Course is a combination of a parkland and links course. The front nine has a distinct parkland feel, as it is surrounded by pine trees. The back nine is home to some of the best links golf in mainland Europe. The signature holes - 13, 14 and 15 - run along the Atlantic coastline, providing fantastic views of the sea, dunes and back towards the pine forest. There's also a golf academy on site, driving range, putting practice green and a fairway practice bunker. Golf clubs, trolleys and buggies are all available for hire at the Golf shop. Please note that a handicap certificate is required with minimum handicaps of 28 for men and 36 for women. The club house is also pretty good (!) and we strongly recommend the restaurant and cocktail bar. There is nothing better, after a challenging round of golf, than sitting on the large terrace overlooking the 10th hole and sipping that first cool drink.
Travel
Lisbon airport is about 50 minutes from the resort. Car hire is essential as there is much to see in the area, but little public transport. A free courtesy shuttle bus operates on a regular basis around the resort. (It can also be pre-ordered – ask at the Marriott Hotel or the club house).

Obidos – beautiful medieval walled town – choice of restaurants including the top class Pousada, great for festivals and open air concerts - watch out for the chocolate festival!
Peniche – Fishing village, fort, fish restaurants, bustling harbour. Cruises to the Berlingas Islands.
Caldas Da Rainha – bustling town with daily markets.
Nazare, Mafra, Sintra, Lisbon and lots lots more.

The Praia D’el Rey Resort is located approximately 50 minutes north of Lisbon Airport on Portugal’s Silver coast. The 5 star Marriott Hotel offers amazing facilities such as a spa, gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, three restaurants and various bars. The resort also has a small grocery shop, tennis courts, football field, bikes for hire and the amazing PDR 18 hole championship golf course. There are a variety of supermarkets at Obidos, Peniche and Caldas Da Rainha

We are two golf mad friends who decided to buy a great apartment on a golf course but also close to the sea. We love the place and there is plenty to do and see. We hope you have a great stay and enjoy the place as much as we do!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We love Praia del Rey because of the fantastic facilities in the area. There is a fabulous award winning 18 hole golf course . The beautiful and not very busy beach is a short walk from the apartment and the swimming pool is an even shorter distance away. There is a small shop and a variety of restaurants in the Mariott Hotel and the Club House and a free shuttle bus service serving these facilities. Further afield there are the beautiful historic towns of Obidos and Caldas and the bustling town and night life in Peniche. There are also beautiful sandy beaches at Balael, Peniche and Obidos Lagoon a short drive away.
The area is easily accessible from Lisbon Airport which is less than an hours drive away.
