The villa has a large, heated swimming pool with safety fencing for smaller children. The garden is also gated and fenced with children's safety in mind. There is a video entry system and electric gates to the front of the villa. There is parking for three cars at the side of the property. Its position is within walking distance to all Vale Do Lobo's amenities, including restaurants, spa, golf club, kid's club, tennis club and beach, there is also a supermarket within walking distance. The newly fitted kitchen has oven, microwave, dishwasher and in the separate large laundry room there is washing machine and dryer. The master suite has a Victorian style slipper bath, double shower and twin wash basins. It has a dressing area and patio doors leading out onto a large private south facing balcony with mattressed lounging area and views across to the mountains. The villa has been refurbished with love and attention and is a home from home. Air-conditioning in all rooms.

Changeover day
We will endeavour to be as flexible as possible with regard to changeover days and arrival times, but it is normally a Saturday. Access to accommodation is usually after 3pm on arrival day and guests must depart before 10am on the day of departure.

| Kitchen: | Electric oven with gas hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, double sinks, dishwasher, granite work surfaces. All kitchen electrical sundries and glasses, cutlery, crockery etc are also provided. |

| Living Rooms: | The large and airy living area has one three seater and one double, brown leather sofas with extra seating under coffee table. Sky TV (guests card needed), DVD, music system. There is also a log burning fire. The dining area can seat eight. |

All towels, including beach towels, and linen are provided. The property will be cleaned three times a week, unless requested daily at an extra cost. Bedlinen is changed once a week and bathroom towels twice a week. |

Notes on accommodation
There is air-conditioning/heating in each room, with the bathrooms having electric towel rails and heaters. The top terrace and master suite are a particular feature, making it possible to relax, sunbathe and even dine away from other guests.
Outside
The garden and pool are set up with safety in mind with all areas gated and fenced. The large (11 x 5 metres) pool can be heated at an extra cost per week and is also able to be lit at night.
Coast/Beach
The beach isa twenty minute walk or a five minute drive (Vale Do Lobo). There is ample parking, restaurants and bars on the beach. Water sports are available during the summer season and the beaches are patrolled by lifeguards.
Golf
Vale Do Lobo Golf Club is a two minute drive or a five minute walk. There are six Championship golf courses within a fifteen minute drive.
Special interest holidays
There are four tennis clubs within a ten minute drive.
Travel
Faro airport is a twenty minute drive away. Use of a car is not necessary, but if you want to get full use of the facilities in the area, a car is recommended.
Distances
Almancil is a ten minute drive from the villa and is the closest town.
Further details
Pharmacies, local shops and a private GP service are all available in the area. There are numerous restaurants, ranging from chicken shack to Michelin star. Banks are available in Quinta Do Lago Shopping, as are many designer clothes shops, which is a five minute drive from the villa. There are large water parks within a twenty minute drive and Zoomarine, which is a great day out for children and adults alike is a 45 minute drive away. There are many picturesque, hilltop and coastal villages also within an easy drive and lots of stunning beaches along the coast. There are numerous large, shopping malls, both in Faro and further along the coastal road. The large marina at Vilamoura is a 15 minute drive.
Booking notes
Bookings will be taken by phone or email and confirmed by email. On receipt of deposit the booking will be finalised. Refundable damage deposit equivalent of 10% of total rental cost is payable six weeks before arrival. 25% of payment before reservation can be confirmed and is non-refundable. Remaining 75% is payable four weeks before arrival.
Full booking and cancellation terms will be sent out on initial booking request by email or post if necessary.

About the owner
We live in Warwickshire with our nearly six year old daughter.
We purchased and renovated Casa Cacau to turn it into a family home ready for the arrival of our daughter.
We find the property to be a true home from home and feel very much at ease and relaxed on our holidays there.
We continue to maintain it as if it were our first home and have made it secure and child friendly.

The area is very safe and family friendly. We chose this area for our second home because of the sport facilities, restaurants, views, beaches and shopping, oh and the wine is quite good too!
