This new apartment is located at the end of a cul de sac on the edge of the town. Provides spacious living accommodation for families with a balcony, BBQ and shared pool. Close to the beach and the seafront cafe's, restaurants and bars. The beach is sea shell shaped and sheltered where the water just laps the shore to provide safe family bathing. For a quieter location the southern end of the beach has boardwalks and sand dunes. Perfect location for exploring the real Portugal.

Change over day is Saturday during peak season (June to August). Flexible for rest of year.

Notes on accommodation
Electric heaters provided for off season periods. Windows/doors tilt inwards to take advantage of the cool evening breeze.
Accessibility
First floor apartment with underground parking and lift. Single step to front of apartment block and lift to first floor. Lift directly in front of apartment door. Large hallway inside apartment and double door access into living room. Sliding door access into bathroom.
Outside
Balcony with built in BBQ excellent for family meals and watching the sun go down. Southwest facing shared pool and lounge area. Sunchairs provided which also fit into the boot of your car for day outings. Each block has access to its own roof terrace for sunbathing.
Coast/Beach
Only 8 mins walk from the apartment is the best beach in the area. The famous cockle-shell-shaped bay at Sao Martinho do Porto. Safe beach for family bathing with miles of sand ending at the southern end in sandunes and boardwalk.
Foz do Arelho beach is around 10 mins drive away on the Obidos Lagoon with a choice of big Atlantic waves or sheltered lagoon. Surfing beach at Peniche around 30 mins drive.
Golf
Top golf courses within 20-30 mins drive at Praia D'el Ray, Rio Major,Torres Vedras, Vimeiro and Peniche.
Travel
Lisbon airport is 100km (60 miles) around 1 hour by car.
Porto airport is 240km (150 miles)
Bus and train links from Lisbon but car hire is strongly recommended.
Flights from London Luton, Gatwick, Liverpool and Bristol with Easyjet. Aer Lingus from Dublin.

Sintra- World heritage site west of Lisbon 80 mins.
Fatima- Religious shrine and pilgrimage centre 80 mins

Apartment is on the edge of town with a 10 min stroll into the centre. Fish and fruit markets 5 mins from apartment. Town has plenty of restaurants and cafe's to choose from. Tourist office with free internet access and a Bank in the centre.Nightclub and Seafood restaurants along the pier.
Loads of site seeing in the local area. Walled town of Obidos with whitewashed picturesque streets and local cherry liquor served in a chocolate cup.Foz do Arelho with its smooth beaches and Lagoon which have non motorised water sports available. Nazare has a fishing heritage with a cliff top market and plenty of nightlife. Peniche provides a surfers paradise with large atlantic waves and cliff top drive.
Batalha and Alcobaca Abbeys are UNESCO World Heritage sites with Gothic architecture. Tomar has a wonderfull town park beside the Templar castle the 11th century European headquarters of the Monk/Knights a very impressive castle. Fatima is a place of Pilgrimage with its old and new Churches.Services held daily. Leira is a old Moorish town with a market and hilltop Castle.
Lisbon has its sightseeing buses and Expo area which has walks gardens and a large Oceanarium and also plenty of retail opportunities.
Sintra another World Heritage site has steep winding roads with plenty of Palaces and castles belonging to the Portugese royal family to visit.
