Modern, 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom villa approx. 45 mins drive north of Lisbon. Set in a peaceful location with a rural aspect, the property has it's own private pool, (6 x 3m), and gardens. It is within walking distance of the medieval town of Obidos which has numerous restaurants, bars and gift shops. Many beaches and the Obidos Lagoon as well as several Championship Golf Courses are within easy driving distance of the property. We feel it is the perfect place to either relax and/or to be used as a base to explore the still, very traditional, Oeste region of Portugal.

Changeover day
Changeover days are Saturdays although alternative days will be considered. Departures before 10.00hrs, arrivals after 16.00hrs.

Bath and hand towels as well as bedlinen are included, (we do not provide beach towels). Property is cleaned prior to arrival and following your departure. Additional cleaning/bedlinen change can be arranged if required. |
Notes on accommodation
The villa has tiled floors throughout the living accommodation with laminate flooring in the three bedrooms, all of which have built-in wardrobes. The entrance hall also has built-in cupboards. The property is well serviced with a central vacuum system, electric shutters, external lighting and gas central heating. Smoking is not permitted inside the property.

Coast/Beach
There are numerous beaches within short, easy driving distance of the villa; Foz do Arelho which leads into the shallower, warmer waters of the Lagoon, (ideal for water sports), the safe, child-friendly Sao Martinho do Porto, Baleal and Peniche, (fishing town), which are both great for Surfers and many more.
Golf
There are several Golf Courses within easy reach of the Villa: 5* Praia D'el Rey, 5* Bom Sucesso, Golden Eagle, (Rio Maior), Campo Real and the nine-hole Vimeiro and Botado.
Special interest holidays
Obidos holds many events throughout the year; The Medievil Festival in July, the Opera Festival in August and a Classical Music Festival in September. Between December - January there is the amazing Christmas Festival where the town is decorated and artificial snow falls onto the cobbled streets. - There is an Ice Skating Rink and a visit to Santa's Christmas Village is a must. In February/March Obidos hosts the World Chocolate Making Festival with life-size size sculptures and plenty of chocolate to eat and drink.
Travel
The villa is approx 45 minutes drive north of Lisbon Airport, approx 3 hours drive north of Faro and approx 2.5 hours drive south of Porto. A car is highly recommended to fully enjoy all this area has to offer.
Further details
There is a local bar/shop within 2 minutes walking distance of the villa. A large supermarket offering a great selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, fresh fish, beers and wines is only 2 minutes drive/10 minutes walk away. Several banks and a pharmacy are also within 10 minutes walking distance, (just outside Castle Walls).
Booking notes
A £200 refundable deposit is required to secure the property at the time of booking. The full rent is due 8 weeks prior to rental commencement date. The deposit covers any breakages/additional cleaning requirements and will be returned once the keys are returned, (subject to any deductions). We will accept payment in euros subject to Exchange Rates.
