Notes on accommodation
These apartments are children-friendly: we can provide cot, high-chair and other items on request. There is air-conditioning and heating, and the apartments are part of a group of 4, making them particularly attractive for large groups. The cable TV includes many different English-language channels, and the properties are perfect for business clients or those who need to work, since we provide free high-speed wi-fi Internet throughout. We speak English, Portuguese, Spanish and a smattering of French, for international guests, and are always willing to provide help and tourist information about Lisbon. This area has plenty of excellent restaurants, shops, and a very good supermarket open 7 days a week for fresh fish, fruit, located in the nearby station. Alfama is perfect for listening to the traditional Portuguese music of Fado, with it's melancholic lyrics and sounds. Fado restaurants and traditional taverns abound here.

These properties are situated in a building with no lift and are not suitable for guests with mobility problems.
Coast/Beach
The apartment is located just 3 minutes walk from the banks of the expansive River Tagus estuary. Lisbon's beaches are 30 minutes away by car or public transport.
Golf
The Estoril Golf Club, right on the A5 motorway from Lisbon to Cascais, has 27 holes designed by McKenzie Ross. This also hosts the Portuguese Open and international competitions. Quinta de Marinha, just outside Cascais on the Guincho road, was also designed by Robert Trent Jones and is part of a holiday complex, featuring a driving range, six tennis courts and a hotel. Another option is Campo de Golfe de Belas, near Queluz-Belas train station, a championship-standard golf course designed by William Rocky Roquemore.

Lisbon airport is just 15 minutes away by car. There is a public car park just 5 minutes walk away but hiring a car isn't necessary due to the good transport facilities.

Further details
The Alfama public swimming pool is located just 2 minutes from these properties. The surrounding area includes many small, traditional shops, restaurants and taverns, and there is a convenient supermarket, open every day from 9am to 9pm just 200 metres away.
Booking notes
Once your booking request is made, we block the dates for you for 48 hours, during which we ask you to pay a 30% deposit to confirm your booking. After 48 hours, if no deposit is paid, we free up the dates again for other bookings. The rest of the fee is paid on arrival in cash or by credit card. We also ask for a damage deposit in cash of 150 euros, returned at the end of your stay if no damage occurs. We can provide invoices if necessary.

We really loved the apartment, thank you. The location is great - close to the train, metro and a taxi rank, as well as a supermarket. The apartment itself is great, modern, very light and airy with nice views. Also everything is in excellent condition and there was nothing that we found wanting (having a dishwasher was a real bonus!).

Apart from owning and running these apartments, we also have extensive experience in tourism, Lisbon and of course apartment rentals. We are always on hand to help our clients, and will do our best to reply within 24 hours to all emails. Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We bought these properties in the neighbourhood of Alfama because we love this old, traditional historic area of Lisbon, with it's cobbled streets, fado restaurants, small squares and alleys, and traditional cafeterias and taverns. We also valued very highly the fact that the apartments are just round the corner from the Santa Apolonia Metro and Train Station, which provides excellent transport facilities to the rest of the city, or even to outlying areas such as Cascais, Estoril or Sintra. Lastly, and what really persuaded us, is that the apartments have truly magnificent views over the River Tagus.
Unique benefits of the property
You can really feel at home in these apartments. Although Lisbon is a truly beautiful city, some days you'll want to simply stay at home here enjoying the amazing views. You can sit for hours just watching the boats and ships sail by, from cruise liners, to war ships, to sail boats. The sunlight comes streaming in through the large windows, making these apartments a wonderful place to stay. And the location simply couldn't be better - in Lisbon's historic district close to all the major sights, and just 2 minutes walk from an underground and train station should you wish to go further afield.
