Albardeira apartment is one of nine 8 other apartments with a private shared pool. It is in an ideal location if you like the beach, with an underground car park and a very large storage space, which can be handy for any watersports equipment or bikes etc. Meia Praia beach is lined with great beach bars which all serve fabulous food. The apartment is nestled between a few quiet restaurants and if you look out of the back there is a fabulous view of neighboring trees and landscape. The pool area is just a nice size with just a few other apartments to share it with. The apartment is fabulous if you just want to walk across the road to the beach or into Lagos or the marina. There is also a bus that stops a few hundred yards away to take you into Lagos if you don't fancy the walk. The lounge is spacious and to a very high standard, but the outside space really makes this apartment, with the roof top terrace furnished with table, chairs and sunloungers. There is also some shade.

Changeover day
Flexible. The apartment will be available from 15.00 pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. We will of course make every effort to accommodate any special requirements.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, has fully fitted wardrobes, and leads straight out onto the balcony where you can soak up the sea views.
Bedroom 2 leads off from the hallway and has 2 large twin beds, again with fully fitted wardrobes.
Bathrooms: Bedroom 1 has a good size ensuite bathroom, with jacuzzi bath, shower, vanity sink and toilet.
Off the main hall is another bathroom, with large shower, vanity sink and another toilet.
Kitchen: The kitchen is separate from the lounge, dining area. It is to a very high standard with washing machine, fridge freezer, cooker and hob with extractor fan, microwave and dishwasher.
Living Rooms: The living area is spacious, with a comfortable sofa, tv unit with flat screen TV, satellite TV, DVD player and playstation 3 and ipod docking station. It leads on to the open plan dining area if you wish to entertain inside.
Other: This apartment is furnished to a very high standard and works great with the outdoor space, having the choice to sit on either balcony, or by the swimming pool on the ground floor, which is furnished with sunloungers.

Notes on accommodation
This property has air-conditioning in all the rooms, it is perfect for golfers, with Palmeras golf course next door, or the beach which is just a few minutes away. The regular shuttle bus service is just across the road that runs to the marina and is a great way to get into Lagos and back. There are beach bars dotted along the long beach of Meia Praia, and all serve a very good standard of food. Please be aware if you have very small children, this apartment does have steps and balconies.

Outside
The rooftop terrace is perfect to sunbathe or relax on the comfortable sofa's and watch the sun go down. The view is stunning. It has a fabulous sun sail shade for people who want to stay out of the sun. High chairs can be provided on request to the owner. Both terraces have a fabulous view and also look down onto the swimming pool. The whole complex is gated and very private. It has a warm, friendly feel to the pool area, with poolside shower and sun loungers. The pool area is surrounded with nice plants. Each apartment has its own underground car parking space and lock up, which can house any watersports equipment. The two outside terrace areas are what makes this property special with constant views of the sea.

Coast/Beach
This area offers some of the most stunning beaches in the Algarve, each very different. Salema is popular with windsurfers and good for scuba diving and snorkelling. Burgau is flanked with cliffs, which beach is secluded and has a cliff path to walk down. There are plenty of beaches 10 minutes away or you can drive 25 minutes further round the coast. However, Meia Praia beach opposite is one of the loviest beaches around patrolled with life guards in peak season.

Golf
There are plenty of golf courses in the area all within about 30 minutes drive, but Palmaras Golf Club is just a few hundred yards further down the road from the apartment. Any information regarding the golf courses please contact the owner.

Special interest holidays
You can see Palmaras Golf Club from the top balcony, so is ideal for golfers, with storage to keep any golf clubs in. The owners do have a mans and ladies set of clubs that can be borrowed on request. There are also another 6 golf courses all within easy access under 30 minutes drive away. Meia Praia is close to all watersports like windsurfing an kite surfing and there are many fabulous trips from the marina, which include a trip to see the local dolphins. There are walking clubs, which the owner can give you details about.

Travel
Faro is the nearest airport and most budget flights go there. It is recommended to book flights and car hire early as it does make the bookings cheaper, with better availability. The apartment is a 45 minute drive, the roads are relatively quiet and very well sign posted. There is also a train and bus service direct from the airport with stops very close the the apartment if you don't want to drive. The owner can be contacted for directions. You can quite happily manage without a car here.

Distances
You can walk into Lagos or the marina and takes about 20 mins or just hop on the local shuttle bus, which stops 100 yards away and runs every 30 to 40 minutes.

Further details
There is a small local supermarket a few minutes walk away, and plenty of larger ones, with fabulous fresh fish and meat counters just 5 minutes drive away. If you have no transport, the supermarkets will order you a taxi once you have done your shopping.

Booking notes
A minimum of 7 nights booking in peak season. 20% deposit is required when booking. Balance is required 8 weeks prior to the holiday. A deposit £200 is required 7 days before you depart and this will be fully refunded provided there are no damages. For late bookings the full rental is required.

We just wanted to let you know what a great holiday we had in your apartment! It was fantastic, everything was as described - and then some - alot better than we dared to imagine. Your apartment is well furnished to a really high standard, it certainly has the wow factor, however the coup de grace has got to be the roof terrace, its amazing, especially when you look over the walls at the poor relations efforts! The flights and all the arrangements worked like clockwork and Michaela who gave us a tour and explained everything and gave us tips on getting into Lagos. My husband bought 3 properties 3 years ago in Meia Praia and Atalaia to rent. We fell in love with Portugal 5 years ago and now holiday here 4 times a year with our children. It was important to Keith and I that all our properties are home from home. We entertain at home a lot. Keith is a good cook so it was important that our properties here in Portugal were kitted out to a very high standard. We used the experience of our friend who is a hotel interior designer to furnish our properties to a hotel standard. I think we are very honest people and we pride ourselves on telling our guests exactly how it is. I like to call all our enquiries, so they can ask me questions which I will always answer honestly, because I respect families save up all year to enjoy their precious holiday.
