Less than 150m from a beautiful, sandy beach. Fantastic, memorable sea and beach view from the large terrace, bedroom and lounge. The apartment sleeps up to 4, in a new, modern and elegant building that is private and peaceful. Close to friendly bars, restaurants and shops. All amenities within easy walking distance. There is a picturesque walk down to the beach via steps, or a lift will take a more leisurely journey to street/sea front level - a bonus for mobility and families using pushchairs. Convenient bus services travel to neighbouring towns. Albufeira has a marina and is livelier. Vilamoura boasts many top class golf courses and a marina. Nearest golfing is at Pine Cliffs only 1.5km away and water parks are a short journey to Vilamoura or Guia. Also at Guia is the 'Algarve shopping' (like Meadowhall) which can be reached by car, taxi, or by the free bus shuttle. Portugal is steeped in history and a very interesting place to explore - or ideal for a 'chill out' type of holiday.

Notes on accommodation
Air-conditioning units also provide heating if necessary. Communal private pool with large sun terrace area overlooking the sea. Large safe south facing balcony for alfresco meals, children's play, sunbathing. Private, secure car parking in allocated space in garage. We can accommodate up to 6/8 people - please see property ref P6276 for our other apartment in the same building.

Accessibility
The property is new and is built to current regulations regarding mobility and disability. There is ramped access for wheelchairs and pushchairs at all entrances to the building. All apartments have lift facilities. There is direct access by lift to the street/beach level and also to the sun terrace/pool.

Outside
There are excellent views towards the beach and the sea, and pool area. If you are lucky, you may be able to see a school of dolphins out at sea, as we have! You can see all the older properties that line the road down to the beach, the church and the lighthouse. To the left along the coastline, you will be able to see the 'whiteness' of Vilamoura's buildings and further than that, Faro. At night you will be able to see the lights of the fishing boats out at sea.
The south facing balcony area is large and provides space for outdoor leisure either in sun or shade throughout the day. There is a table and chairs for dining and sunloungers. There is room for clothes drying/airing. A shared private swimming pool (unheated) has a large sun terrace with sea view.

Coast/Beach
Olhos d'Agua means 'eyes of the water'. It is said that if you stand at a certain place at low tide, you can see the 'eyes' looking at you - this is near to the rock that protrudes out of the sea to the left of the fishing boats. The beach is less than 150m from the apartment, and if you access it from the lift, you can be there within 3 minutes! There is no need for worries about parking - you have your own space. The beaches are cleaned daily. Explore the cliffs and caves at low tide.

Golf
The area is particularly popular with golf players, boasting many top class courses nearby - the nearest being Pine Trees at 1.5km.

Travel
Faro airport is 25 mins drive. Return transfers from the airport can be arranged through the excellent local taxi services. You may wish to hire a car or bikes. If you decide to explore the coastal villages of the Algarve, or travel to Lisbon, or venture inland to the mountains, or even further to Gibraltar or Spain, a hired car would be useful and convenient. Portugal is steeped in history and worth a closer look.

Distances
From Faro, you will pass Almancil, Quarteira, Vilamoura (2.5 miles), Falesia (1.5 miles), and then Olhos d'Agua. Vilamoura has a nice marina (with expensive boats and cruisers) - good for a walk round and taster of the surrounding bars and restaurants. Further on along the coast, Albufeira (1.5 miles) is well known for the 'Strip' where there are copious bars and restaurants and somewhere that is lively at night, and well known for the grilled sardines on the beach.

Further details
There are 2 excellent pharmacies, a post office, and several banks and cash machines. There are a couple of supermarkets within walking distance. There are some restaurants, some of which who do take-away, and one Indian restaurant even offers a 'pick up' service if you do not want to drive.

Booking notes
20% non returnable deposit is required on booking. Balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to holiday. Breakage deposit of £150 is required along with final payment. This is returned on satisfactory completion of inventory after vacating. Registration form must be completed with full details, including mobile contact number, and returned with deposit. Prices are per week and other lengths of stay will be calculated on an individual basis. Extra charges apply for more that 2 persons staying - please ask

About the owner
Hello! We live in South Yorkshire in England together with our extremely vocal rescue cat, Izzie and both work - Barbara's in the NHS and David's in the construction industry. We have 3 children each - the last of whom has now finally just left home for uni leaving us to the prospect of spending every available moment in our beautiful luxurious apartment in Portugal. We had both never been to Portugal until a couple of years ago, when we went on an 'all expenses paid' trip by a well known selling agency. We were both unwell when we went and were both determined not to get sucked in to any purchase! We were shown lots of property that didn't have any wow factor...and then we were shown this one!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
When we arrived in Portugal, our first impressions were how clean everything was, how pretty the landscape and buildings, and lack of industry & traffic. We bought the apartment on day 2 of our trip-'off plan'-when it was just a concrete shell. The fantastic view sold it to us immediately-we made the decision to buy just within a minute (we only had to look at each other and just knew we wanted it) Luck was in when we found that all the fixtures were to be of excellent quality and that all the apartments were of different designs. As we were early buyers, we believe that we chose the best apartments in the complex with fabulous south facing sea views from the balcony. We particularly like the 'feel' of the area and just want to keep going back.

Unique benefits of the property
It's a small fishing village with all amenities really close by and easy to get to other local beaches. Lots of older properties around maintain the Portuguese character and culture, with friendly local people, lots of lovely little restaurants and bars. On waking in the morning, the sun pouring in sets the scene for the day as we can see the sea and hear the waves gently rolling in, perhaps still some night fishing boats on their way back to Olhos, and even dolphins. The front of the apartment is south facing, so we can work our way around the balcony - either following the sun - or finding shade to avoid it when it's too hot! We have tried to include many facilities- hopeful to reduce luggage problems. Not all apartments are rented, making it so peaceful!
