Less than 5 minutes drive from the town of Caldas da Rainha, the villa provides easy access to many amenities including supermarkets, banks, markets, bus and train services, a local park with chidren's play area and many excellent restaurants. The villa is less than 10 minutes drive from the stunning beach at Foz do Arelho and the World Heritage Site of Obidos. The villa is an ideal base from which to explore Central Portugal and The Silver Coast including Lisbon, Alcobaca, Fatima and Peniche. Alternatively, simply relax and enjoy the abundant excellent local wines and seafood specialities!

Changeover day
Changeover day is normally a Saturday unless by specific arrangement especially during the peak summer season. Off peak we will endeavour to be flexible. Arrival after 4.00pm and departure before 10.00am.

Outside
Large (9m x 4m) private deck level pool with steps down to shallow end. Portuguese style barbeque with eating area, garden laid to lawn. Enclosed area around the pool to rest and enjoy the tranquility and whole day sun exposure. Secure gated access and driveway parking (additional off road parking to the front).
Coast/Beach
Less than 10 minutes drive to the magnificent beach at Foz do Arelho with its unique mixture of stunning Atlantic waves and the secluded tranquility of Obidos Lagoon. Further to the north lies Sao Martinho do Porto Bay (about 20 minutes) and the busy costal town of Nazare (around 30 minutes). To the south, Baleal, with a thriving surfing community can be reached in around 30 minutes.
Golf
4 golf courses all within an easy 30 minute drive, Praia del Rey (consistently voted among Europes top ten courses), Golden Eagle, Bom Successo and Campo Real. There are also several other courses around Lisbon that are only 50-60 mins drive.
Travel
Car hire is essential. Cheap flights available from various low cost airlines such as Easyjet/Aer Lingus to Lisbon/Faro and Ryanair to Porto. Lisbon airport (90km) is around an hours drive by motorway with Porto airport (250km) between 2.5 and 3 hours away. Faro is close to a 4 hour drive. Regular buses and trains from Caldas da Rainha provide options to those wanting to travel further afield.

Nadadouro - walking distance. Foz do Arelho - 8 mins by car. Driving distances:
Sailing School in Lagoon - 5 minutes, Caldas da Rainha - 5 minutes, Obidos - 15 minutes, Nazare - 30 minutes, Peniche/Baleal (surf area) - 30 minutes, Fatima (Religious Santuary) - 45 minutes.
Booking notes
We require a 30% reservation deposit on booking the villa, with the remainder payable a minimum of 6 weeks before departure. Breakage deposit of £150 repayable within 14 days of return after the assessment of our local property manager. Strictly no smoking inside the property please.
