Around the villa you can choose from several ‘snug corners’ to enjoy the peace and quiet, the sun or shade, or simply the surroundings and beautiful view. Only a short drive or 10 minute walk away from the beautiful beaches Praia do Benagil, Praia do Carvalho, Praia do Carvoeiro and Praia da Marinha. Also close to the cities Lagoa, Carvoeiro and Portimao.

Several small and secluded sandy beaches are at walking distance from the villa: Praia de Benagil and Praia do Carvalho. Other beaches are close by.
Golf
The nearest golf course is Vals do Milho which is 3 car minutes from the villa. 8 minutes from Vale da Pinta and Gramacho Golf.
Travel
Faro airport is 45 minutes away from Vila Maria. Public transport in the area is very limited so a rental car is strongly recommended. Parkings at the Vila Maria grounds are ample and also the double garage can be used.
Distances
The fisherlands village Benagil is at walking distance. There are many bars and restaurants. Carvoeiro is at some car minutes away and has all facilities, including doctors, dentists, pharmacies etc. The Intermarche Supermarket is at a 6 minutes drive.

Breakage deposit 225 euros. Upon booking a bookings agreement will be drafted and sent for signature.

About the owner
My name is Frits and I live in Holland. Retired early and enjoy being in the sunny Algarve. I started to rent out my apartment and villa and use the rental income to improve it. Having the knowledge of how things work in the Algarve and speaking the language, I decided to use my skills as an Algarve Property Finder. This takes me to the Algarve and and Carvoeiro quite frequently. An ideal combination of work and pleasure. My Portuguese friend Jorge, owner of a construction company, asked me to take care of renting out his villa which is located quite close to my own.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had a very busy and hardworking life and did not intend to keep on doing so until we reached our pension...and then die. We bought the land in 1988, had a very small house built and gradually extended it when our savings would allow this. We decided to build in the Algarve after having seen and considered options in Turkey, France, Greece and Spain. The Algarve, with it's friendly people, clean air and 3000 hours of sunshine per year made us decide to realise our dream there.
