Hidden away in the Eastern Algarve on the Ria Formosa nature reserve, 30 minutes from Faro airport, lies the lovely fishing village of Fuzeta. With its stunning sandy beaches and beautiful lagoon, Fuzeta is a self-contained remedy to the hustle and bustle of modern life. With its daily fish market, general market, restaurants, bars and local shops, forget the car and simply relax and unwind. Fuzeta is a charming Portuguese town brimming with atmosphere and friendly people. An abundance of restaurants ranging from simple Portuguese cuisine (sardines, chicken, salad and chips) to good quality cuisine are on offer - as well as a large selection of cafes and bars serving drinks and snacks at very reasonable prices. The most beautiful feature of Fuzeta though has to be the gorgeous beach island of Armona, reached in a few minutes by River Ferry.

Notes on accommodation
Fully air-conditioned, allowing you to stay cool in summer and warm in winter. Ideal for children. The beautifully decorated and appointed apartment is modern in design, tasteful and welcoming. Spacious inside and with a balcony for 'alfresco' dining, the rooms are of a good size with room for up to 4 persons (plus 2 on sofa bed). The grounds are landscaped and the property secured with a remote telephone entry control system operated from inside the apartment.

Coast/Beach
Fuzeta has a small lagoon beach in the town (with gentle shelving sand and calm sea – perfect for young children) and a very long and lovely ocean beach on the island. The first is only 200m from the apartment, and the second is reached by taking a short local ferry journey, which runs throughout the day and throughout the year.
Golf
This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 7 courses to choose from. Benamor, Colina Verde and the two Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular. Both Quintas are situated in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and have been described by experienced golfers as two of the most beautiful courses in the region.
The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus has its first 18 holes open and is continuing its development to the second phase, offering the height of golfing luxury.
Travelling only 10km further on towards Spain, the challenging course of Castro Marim, along with its famous country club comes highly recommended and just across the border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses.
Travel
Fuzeta is 25km (30 minutes) to Faro international airport.
Distances
Fuzeta is 10km to Olhao, 20km to Faro town. By travelling a little further afield there is a good range of things to do to suit all tastes. For nature lovers there are forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or nature trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance. By travelling towards the West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro, Olhao and Guia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine (wonderful for children), all easily reached by car.
Further details
Lying on the limits of the most important wildlife sanctuary in the Algarve, it is the perfect place to walk in the company of various birds, like flamingos, storks or the purple gallinule. You can also discover the nature reserve by boat with one of the local fishermen.
This is the perfect location for a peaceful holiday in a relaxed location. Car hire is not essential, but recommended to enjoy visits to a few other local places such as Tavira and Olhao. If you don’t want to drive, Fuzeta is served by regular train service, which stops only 100m from the apartment. From here, you can visit all the beautiful places the Eastern Algarve has to offer.
From the apartment it is easy to take a day trip across the border into Spain.

Guests are always welcomed personally on arrival, provided with keys and shown around the apartment to familiarise them with the facilities. The property is inspected on departure and keys collected.
