Casa Rebelo, although in a quiet secluded street, is very close (15 minutes walk) to all the amenities and the attractions of Albufeira, ie, The Bull Ring, the Strip and Oura Beach. From Albufeira, tickets are available from many shops for day trips to many activities including: water slide parks, karting, horse riding, bowling and others. Should you prefer shopping or spiritual trips you book many day trips by bus for example: to Seville, Fatima or the fabulous mountain region of Monchique. An experience not to be missed are the local gypsy markets which take place fortnightly in Albufeira and Quarteira. Indeed if you want to spend a day shopping you can avail of the regular daily bus trip to either Faro or Algarve shopping centre. The local beaches have great water activities from jet ski, banana boats and paragliding. Golfers are spoilt for choice with a dozen of the best golf courses within 15 to 30 minutes drive.

The changeover day for Casa Rebelo is on Thursdays. However, in the months of November to March the changeover day is flexible.

Living Rooms: The villa has 2 living rooms. Downstairs, next to the dining room, with access to the pool through French doors. The living room seat 7 persons and the dining room 8. Upstairs, the living area between two rooms, seats 5 persons, with double sofa bed.
Other: The villa has a games room in the basement with pool and table tennis tables.

All bedrooms at Casa Rebelo have air conditioning/heating for your confort.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
The villa is rented with linen, towels, toilet rolls, soap, washing machine and dishwasher detergents. The villa is cleaned before check in and there will be a mid week change of towels. Linen is changed weekly. Beach towels are not provided.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is a non smoking property. However, smoking is allowed in the outside areas of the property (garden, pool area or terraces). All facilities of Casa Rebelo, including the swimming pool, are for the sole use of renters only. For your security Casa Rebelo is fitted with a sophisticated alarm which protects you even while you sleep. A tennis and snooker table will be available for your enjoyment in the games room. The house is suitable for children. However as the swimming pool is not fenced, parental supervision is recommended.

Accessibility
Casa Rebelo does not have the facilities needed for persons with severe mobility problems.

Outside
Casa Rebelo has a small garden and a private heated swimming pool (9 x 4.5m). Off the kitchen and dining room doors, there is a patio/terrace with a barbecue and an al-fresco dining area by the swimming pool. In the area surrounding the swimming pool there are eight sunbeds and a pool shower for your refreshment before jumping into the water. There is a large terrace, off the upstairs living room, where one can relax with a book, sunbath or just take a nap.

Coast/Beach
The nearest beaches to Casa Rebelo, Praia da Oura (1 mile) and St. Eulalia (1.25 miles) are only 5 minutes away by taxi or 30 to 40 minutes walking distance. For those who enjoy walking, there are gorgeous beaches, with vast stretches of golden sand along the coast, secluded coves and amazing cliffs, which make the seaside well worth exploring.

Golf
There are about a dozen well known golf resorts from 10 to 30 minutes driving distance of Casa Rebelo. Prices on some of the courses are available on request. The host has two sets of basic golf clubs you can borrow during your stay.

Nearest airport - 20 miles. Nearest ferry port - 20 miles. Nearest railway station - 3.5 miles. Nearest motorway junction - 3.5 miles. Nearest golf - 2 miles. Nearest bar/restaurant - 500 yards. Nearest supermarket - 800 yards.
Due to the central location of Casa Rebelo car hire is not necessary.

Faro - 22 miles. Faro shopping - 21 miles. Vale do Lobo - 19 miles - luxury resort. Quinta do Lago - 20 miles - luxury resort.
Vilamoura - 10 miles - golf resort. Algarve shopping - 6 miles. Portimão - 22 miles.

Further details
Within 15 minutes walking distance from Casa Rebelo you will find almost anything you need: souvenir shops, banks, ATM machines, bars, restaurants, discos. Your host, if you require, will help you with information on local activities, restaurants, water and thematic parks, etc.

Booking notes
I do not accept short term bookings (less then 7 nights).

Once you decide to book Casa Rebelo the owner will send you a booking contract with the payment terms which are as follows: 25% non refundable deposit to secure your booking, and the balance plus a € 300 security deposit to cover breakages, 60 days days before occupancy date. This deposit will be fully returned, one week after your departure, subject to satisfactory property and inventory inspection.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Casa Rebelo. The villa is set in a quiet residential street and is only a 10 minute walk to the shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The owner is a really nice person who could not do enough for us, he even called us taxis when we could not make ourselves understood. We cannot praise him enough and we are all very sad to leave. About the owner
I live in Albufeira which I visited 30 years ago, on holiday from Zimbabwe, and decided to make it our home. Since 1981 I have worked in the tourist industry, as a financial executive, and have decided to move into a smaller property as, both Casa Rebelo and Villa Mimi, became too big for my wife and I, after the kids left home. If you decide to rent one of our properties, my wife and I will do our utmost to make your stay a memorable and unforgettable holiday.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I bought the land where Casa Rebelo is built in 1983 and built the villa in 1985/86. It was our first house in Portugal and also the very first house in the suburb. With two young boys of schooling ages, the location was ideal, as it very was near all amenities, including schools which the boys could walk to, due to its easy access and nearness. As my wife and I both worked, the location of the house was very convenient as we did not have to worry with taking or collecting the kids from school.

Staying at Casa Rebelo does give you an opportunity of having a very relaxing and worry free holidays as: - The villa is very confortable and well equipped, - You are secure as the house is in a residential area where most of the properties are lived in by their owners, -The villa has a games room for your entertainement and relaxation, - You do not need to hire a car as you can walk to all amenities in the area, - You do not worry about your teenage kids at night when they go pub crawling. You know that even if they have one drink too many, yhey will be able to walk back to the villa safely, -most important, you will be dealing with the owner of the house, not an agency or tour operator, who just looks at you and your family as a number that will make them attain their targets.
