The house is located on the fringe of Monte Estoril village centre, providing local cafes, restaurants and bars as well as nightlife Friday and Saturday within the immediate proximity of the house. Monte Estoril railway station is 2 minutes from the house which is a direct line to Lisbon City Centre within 25 minutes.

The house has 3 terraces, one to the master bedroom at first floor and 2 at ground floor level. The terrace with direct access from the lounge has a great view to the sea and the 2nd largest terrace is perfect for BBQing. The house has a private secure parking area.
Coast/Beach
Several fantastic beaches are 2 minutes walk from the house with plenty of beach cafes and restaurants as well as water sports hire etc.
Golf
The house is ideally located for golfers with several championship golf courses within easy access by car or taxi.
Estoril Palacio 5 minutes. Oitavos 5 minutes. Quinta da Marina 5 minutes. Penha Longa 10 minutes. Beloura 10 minutes.
Travel
Lisbon airport is approximately 25 minutes by car. Car hire is available within the village, but isn't necessary with the house located for all essentials within walking distance.
Distances
The house is within Monte Estoril village - 1 minute, with cafes, supermarket, banks, restaurants and gardens.
Railway to Lisbon 2 minutes. Cascais 5 minutes (town centre 10 minutes along beach).
Booking notes
Bookings are reserved against receipt of a 50% payment, the final payment 50% to be made a week before the booked dates. My excellent check in team will meet you at the house who will help you with any questions, there will a charge for arrival after 8pm of 35. A 500 euro (or currency equivalent) cash damage deposit will be required at check in and returned upon check out. Gas meter readings will be taken on check in/out. Check Out will be by 11.30am on the day of departure.

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our week at your lovely villa in Monte Estoril. It was the perfect venue for our relaxed celebration of my husbands birthday and lovely to have our far flung family all together. The location was just perfect, with the station so nearby and an easy flat walk into Cascais. Also good to have such excellent Wifi access. About the owner
My name is Michael Rodda, I bought Casa da Barca in 2004 as a derelict cottage. Orignally, I understand from locals that the property was a boat house and then became a tea house in the 1960´s, which became quite famous in the area. In the 1970´s it was bought by a family from Lisbon who converted it to a residence and used it as a weekend and holiday home. The property fell in to disrepair during the late 1990´s. It took me 3 years until 2007 to re-build the house, I have tried to combine a traditional Portuguese cottage externally with a modern clean open plan design internally.
I particularly love the open kitchen, cooking for the family with the views to the sea.
