Casa Andorinha is a privately owned villa set within its own 3 acre grounds in the peaceful 'Algarvean' countryside. It offers visitors privacy, yet it's not totally isolated. It is located on the outskirts of the village of Nora, between Sao Bartholomeu de Messines and Silves. The location is ideal for relaxing, walking, horse riding etc, and with its central Algarve position, is the ideal base for visiting the beaches, major attractions, and larger touristic towns. The villa comprises of a large lounge, dining room, sitting room and kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms. A double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a 2nd bedroom with twin beds and a shower room. At the rear of the villa is a terrace - very private for sunbathing - with built-in jacuzzi pool, which overlooks the garden and swimming pool. There is an outdoor dining area with BBQ. The villa is encircled by a landscaped garden, leading to the countryside surroundings. Free internet access (computer not supplied).

Landscaped gardens surround the property. Covered terraces to front and rear. Outdoor dining area at rear of property with BBQ and terrace with Jacuzzi pool overlooks swimming pool within the garden. There are outdoor table and chairs, and sun-loungers available.
Coast/Beach
Coast and beaches can be reached in 20 minutes drive by car. 20 mins to a choice of at least 10 beach resorts, 4 major water parks, Zoomarine, marinas and many historic sites. Also local lakes, country walks, fishing, quad biking and horse riding.
Golf
The Algarve boasts many 1st class golf courses, your nearest being in Silves 15 minutes by car, but within a 30 minute drive would give you the choice of 8 of Europe's finest courses.
Travel
Faro airport is 40 minutes drive by car.
Car hire is recommended.
Distances
10 mins to Silves or Messines with banks, chemists, modern supermarkets, local fruit and fish market, restaurants. Nora has 1 cafe/bar. 20 mins to major shopping centre. 20 mins will take you to 4 water parks, Zoomarine, 4 marinas (with many water sport activities). Also Algarve shopping with boutiques, hypermarket, restaurants, quad biking are located within 10 minutes drive of the villa.

All essential amenities can be found in nearby S.B. de Messines and Silves, including banks, Post Offices, large supermarkets and restaurants at reasonable prices.
Free welcome pack of food and drink on arrival means guests can relax without having to dash off to the supermarkets.

Casa Andorinha is a lovely villa, much bigger than the photos make out, in a beautiful location, and is ideal for exploring the Algarve. We've had the most enjoyable and relaxing holiday and would all be keen to return. Fantastic place to stay. Felt welcome immediately and very home from home. Great base to visit much of Portugal.

Two whole weeks of relaxation - Bliss
Having stayed in several villas, this is by far the best - everything it says on the tin and more. Privacy, tranquility, spacious with fantastic location. A warm welcome and generous welcome pack that was second to none. This is a beautiful villa with extremely friendly owners. The only bad point - sadly having to leave.

About the owner
We are a family with two teenage children and have owned Casa Andorinha for 9 years. It is very much a family home, with warmth and comfort and probably has better quality furnishings and facilities than a standard 'holiday home'. Over the years we have taken great pleasure in sharing our villa with friends, family and guests (many of whom we can now add to our list of 'friends') and feel that the position and atmosphere of the villa has catered for all ages and enabled everyone to have truly memorable holidays here in the Algarve.

Why the owner chose a villa in this location
We had been visiting parents in this location for many years and loved the fact that it wasn“t in the middle of the chaotic tourist areas and a further bonus being that we aren't faced with the same expensive tourist prices when it comes to eating and drinking out.
When we started looking at buying our own property, we fell in love with Casa Andorinha immediately. It is in a peaceful and private location, and is a lovely place to just relax and sunbathe. The children have had plenty of space to run around and make noise without us worrying about disturbing other people, yet the coast and it“s beautiful beaches and touristic side of the Algarve is only 20 minutes drive away.
Local towns are so close and convenient and everything you could need is available there.
Unique benefits of the property
The peace and privacy are fantastic.
The convenience to local towns is great and there are many local restaurants selling good food but a lot cheaper than the coastal towns.
There is lots to see and do - we particularly enjoy attending the local riding school and quad biking centre which has allowed us to explore the hills and countryside (the children love it also), nipping to the beach for an afternoon or spending a day in one of the waterparks, then retreating home for a shower before going out to one of our local restaurants. Everyone welcomes children at night which is a real bonus.
