The apartment, which is located in a secure complex comes fully equipped, has a private balcony overlooking spacious green areas and a shared swimming pool. It also has a children’s pool, playground, water feature and two tennis courts. The pool space is for residents only and is accessed by key card and there are sunbeds available free of charge. The pool area has a bar and restaurant. This family friendly complex has 24 hour security, an underground car parking space accessed by remote control. It is only 5 minutes walk to the thriving Lagos Marina, with bars, restaurants and shops, and 10 minutes from the old town. Penina, Boa Vista and Palmares golf courses are between 5-15 minutes by car. It is also close to the beautiful golden beach of Meia- Praia. Railway station is 7 mins walk.

Meia- Praia a 5 km blue flag beach is only a 15 walk away. There are restaurants on the beach and sunbeds for hire.
Some of the most beautiful beaches of the Algarve are close to Lagos, like Praia de Dona Ana, which can be reached after a 25 minutes walk from the center of the town and Praia do Camilo, a bit further on.

Golf
Penina, [designed by Henry Cotton and recently hosted the Portuguese open] Palmares and Boa Vista golf courses are within 5-15 minutes drive of the apartment complex. These are championship courses, reasonable priced and a ride-on buggy is not essential for you energetic holiday makers!

Special interest holidays
The area has excellent walking routes and horse riding facilities are also available.

You can also book many boat trips here eg. dolphin watching, sailing, surfing, fishing or sightseeing along the Algarve coast.

Travel
Lagos is easy to get to. Many airlines fly into Faro from both Ireland and England.
EasyJet, Aer Lingus, RyanAir, Jet2, Monarch, BA, BmiBaby and Flybe.
Faro airport is approximately 80km, or 50 minutes from Lagos by car via the A22 motorway.
Railway station is a 7 min walk from the apartment.

Distances
Lagos town centre and harbour, both areas of great historical interest, are 12 minutes walk from the apartment complex.

Further details
There is a small supermarket at the entrance to the complex. There is a large supermarket within walking distance ( Pingo Doce).
Zoomarine is about 40Km from Lagos. It is a fascinating Zoomarine Park with a range of exhibitions and shows featuring dolphins, seals, sharks and other exotic marine life. Enjoy the spectacular Dolphin show, Peter Pan in "Never Never Land" performed with Seals and Sea Lions and experience the colour of the magical bird shows and visit the aquarium. There are many rides in the park such as the big wheel, the pirate ship and the mini roller coaster. There are swimming pools for both adults and children and a variety of shops and restaurants, all of which make Zoomarine an excellent day out for all the family.

"Had a wonderful holiday in Lagos. The apartment provided us with all our needs. The grounds were beautifully manicured, pool very inviting and free sun loungers. It was wonderful to see that the whole complex had 24 hour security. We really enjoyed eating out in the old town. prices were very reasonable and great variety of foods to eat. About the owner
I went with my golfing buddies for many years to the Lagos area. I really enjoyed my stay there. My wife Mary came with us and we decided that it would be a great place to have a holiday residence.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
While in Lagos we saw this apartment was for sale. 6 years later and no regrets. Meia Praia beach is fantastic and is a children's paradise. There are restaurants on the beach for that quick snack when "little ones and big ones" get a bit peckish. Lagos town is so safe and all along the marina is cobbled. It remains unspoilt by tourism and the historic buildings remain protected and are well worth a visit. Lagos offers an abundance of great restaurants, you will be spoilt by choice. A visit to Silves with its castle and Sagres with its fortress is recommended. At night Lagos comes to life with open air stalls and street performers.

Unique benefits of the property
We love to sit by the pool under the parasols, sipping our wine and no phones ringing. Later we stroll into town to one of the many restaurants and soak up the friendly atmosphere. There is a supermarket within walking distance (Pingo Doce). The location couldn't be better. Once you are there everything is within walking distance.
