Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible but will generally be consecutive during the high season. Check out time is 10am, check in after 4pm.

Outside
Traditional style Portuguese villa with private garden and pool, 7 x 5m which varies in depth from 0.8m to 3m. Outdoor patio area includes BBQ corner and outdoor dining area. Roof terrace for extended sun bathing or evening dining overloooking impressive coastline.
Coast/Beach
Several local cove beaches, all with golden sand, are within 10 -15 minutes walk from the villa. Also nearby is a Tennis Club, Water Park and Animal Water Park to name a few attactions.
Golf
Villa Caesarea is under 30 minutes drive from half the Algarve’s courses, and less than 5 minutes away from three of them. These local courses include; Palmares, Penina (2), Morgado Do Reguengo, Alto Golf, Pestana (2), Vale de Milho, Salgados and Pine Cliffs.
Travel
Faro is the closest airport, approximately 45 minutes drive. Car hire not essential; local shops & restaurants Carvoeiro are all within walking distance. Reservations for airport transfers available if required.

Carvoeiro village and local coastline is 15 minutes walk from Villa Caesarea.

The local residential area includes a 'corner' shop and restaurant (across the street from Villa Caesarea); many other restaurants along with banks and leisure activities can be found in Carvoeiro village.

About the owner
I purchased Villa Caesarea privately in 2002 after spending several years visiting Portugal looking for a villa like this one. After collecting the keys, the whole villa was completely refurbished and new furniture bought along with modern conveniences (such as air conditioning).
We use the villa as a family several times a year and take care of it just as anyone would with their own home, so everything works’ and its appearance is always kept clean and tidy. In this, we receive help from the Carvoeiro Clube Property Management company keeping it in such good condition. They are the largest and most professional pprofessional property management company in the Algarve. They are also an excellent holiday representative to have available should clients want to use their services.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I bought a villa in Carvoeiro because it is far enough away from Faro (and the over development that has taken place) but close enough to avoid lengthy airport transfers (45 minutes by motorway). Planning constraints in the local area restrict buildings to 2 stories so there are no high rise developments to spoil our views. These rules for older villas had the effect of providing spacious villas on large plots of land of which Villa Caesarea is a typical example.
Carvoeiro was originally a fishing village; it has all of the facilities required for an enjoyable family holiday. These vary from superb sandy beaches to water parks, animal parks, golf courses, tennis clubs and many historical sights and towns. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping facilities fill to in the gaps!
Unique benefits of the property
The key benefits for us of Villa Caesarea are:
- Spacious enough so that even with 7 people, everybody has plenty of space.
- Close enough to Carvoeiro so that we can walk for a night or shopping, but far enough from the village so that we don't have any traffic noise or through traffic (villa is in a cul-de-sac).
- A private pool and patio area that we can spend all day relaxing on and a dining area covered in 'dapple' shade for eating out doors.
- Plenty of holiday facilities (see above) for entertaining children in the local area.
- Great beaches locally but also try a day trip to some west coast beaches with their cool winds.
- Our own furnishings so its as comfortable as we can make it, not just a villa with furniture.
- Cbeebies and other UK TV for when young child are staying
