The first floor elevation ensures uninterrupted views from the rear balcony overlooking the 14th green and the challenging 15th, 16th fairways, 2 lakes, fountains and bird life. Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible but subject to availability. Arrival time is not before 2.30pm and departure is no later than 10am. Earlier arrivals or late departures can be arranged but again, are subject to availability.

Notes on accommodation
Our spacious apartment, which is furnished to a high standard, is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. All windows and patio doors can be securely locked. In addition they all have mosquito screens and electronically operated roller shutters. It is ideally suited either for families or for couples looking for a golfing break. Or just a relaxing time in the sunshine! The impressive new Club House is just a short walk away - as well as a restaurant and snack bar, it has a modern informal coffee lounge with free WIFI access.

Accessibility
The apartment is first floor with access via an internal staircase.

Outside
First floor apartment with private front and rear balconies with unbelievable views across the Golf course and beautifully manicured gardens - with Olive and Palm trees. The numerous plants and shrubs offer a show of vibrant colour no matter what the season. Take time to relax on the patio recliners. You may need the parasol whilst dining alfresco around the patio table on those hot and sunny days! The shared 25mtr pool is heated and accessed via a card system-and there are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas so no need to run down with your towel before breakfast! There is also a separate pool for the youngsters. Ample free parking is available adjacent to the apartment and regular security patrols day/night on the complex.

Coast/Beach
The resort is nestled between Lagos and Praia da Luz where several golden blue flag beaches are a mere 5 min drive from the apartment. Impressive and unspoilt coves are dotted along the coast line which is safe for swimming. Snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, boat charter and sailing are all on offer. Kite surfing and horse riding are also available.

Golf
This first floor apartment gives guests panoramic elevated views over the 14th Green and 15th/16th Fairways with several bunkers and lakes all beautifully entwined to create a truly magnificent setting. Boavista is a challenging 18 hole Championship course (a par 72, 5251m Yellow tees) which can be enjoyed by players of any level. Several other excellent golf courses are within 30mins drive from the apartment - such as Parque da Floresta; Pestana,Palmares and Penina.Boavista has a Golf Academy with a renowned Golf Pro; Driving Range and practice area. Golf equipment and Buggies are available to hire. Guests enjoy a 25% discount on Green fees and 10% on all items from the Club shop. 10% is also discounted off all refreshments in the new stylish Club House.

Special interest holidays
Take a relaxing boat trip to see the famous caves along the dramatic coast line or an adrenalin-fuelled ride on a RIB away from the shore to spot dolphins.

Travel
Frequent flights with low-cost airlines to Faro take under three hours and Boavista is easily found along the sign-posted motorway - a journey of approximately 50 mins. Taxis are reasonably priced although car hire is recommended for the duration of your stay as there is so much to explore. Please contact us for details of car hire. There is a main line rail station in Lagos.

Distances
Just 5 mins to drive into the walled and historic town of Lagos from Boavista. Here you will find fascinating shops, Supermarkets, cafes/restaurants, chemists, banks, Hospital and dentists. The Monchique Mountains are a 40 min drive where you will find several picturesque spa villages. The view from the summit is well worth the ride. Beautiful unspoilt beaches are on the doorstep although traditional fishing villages such as Salema and Burgau are a `must´to visit a little further afield.

Further details
The Algarve now has a new Autodromo a mere 30 mins drive from the apartment. This new international racetrack was opened in 2009 and has already attracted drivers from across the world to compete at all levels. It is hoped that F1 will adopt the track as a future Grand Prix venue. It caters for Bikes and cars and has already hosted many exciting events. Days Out - visit the Aqualand or Slide & Splash Water Parks and Zoomarine. From the Marina in Lagos book a Dolphin Safari on a RIB or visit the Grottos and coves. The bustling nightlife in Lagos town tends to centre around the pavement cafes & restaurants and street entertainers. For the younger generation there is a ´clubbing´ scene although this does not begin until after 11pm - well past our bedtime!

Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking - with the final balance payable no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival date. A £200 refundable security deposit is required when paying the full balance. This will be refunded within ten days of departure subject to Terms and Conditions.

About the owner
We originally bought our home in this fabulous part of the Algarve a little over two years ago and have loved every precious moment we have spent here. We run a small family business which takes us all over the country but nowhere in our estimation compares with what is on offer right here on our doorstep.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Never wanting to live far from the sea we chose to live near Lagos as it maintains the true feel of Portugal. We are spoilt for fabulous beaches, blue skies - even in Winter! - and inexpensive cafes/restaurants. A few years ago we heard that Jones Homes(UK) were building some new apartments on the perimeter of Lagos with golf views and we were intrigued! Although the building was not complete the views from the balconies far exceeded our hopes - and within a matter of minutes our minds were made up!

Unique benefits of the property
Our apartment offers the most fantastic golf views with additional vistas of the Monchique mountains, the town and bay of Lagos and distant sea views. Being elevated - one floor up - we have the added benefit of uninterrupted scenery all around. We can literally walk across to the heated swimming pool in our swimmies or stroll up to the new Club House for our evening G & T. The Gym at the Club has also been really useful in controlling our weight after visiting the many local restaurants in the area!
