Surrounded by sand dunes on all sides, and by the tall iconic cactuses these houses are perfectly placed to enjoy the unique beauty of the Vicentine Coast. They have been built from eco-friendly materials, using traditional adobe bricks which are produced locally. Each consists of a large sitting room, a mezzanine double bedroom, and large bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the sitting room furnished tastefully. Outside is a well-kept south facing sun terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding sand dunes, the perfect place to end a day on the beach with a cool glass of Vinho Verde.

About the owner
My husband and I live in Lisbon where we work, but we spend all the spare time we can in Carrapateira. We are a couple in our mid 50's and most of our 5 children have now left home to study and work. We both fell in love with Carrapateira many years ago but only bought our two cottages in 2004.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
For over 15 years my family and I have been spending every spare minute we have in Carrapateira. We love the quietness, the views, the sea, the sand, the food, the wine and, above all, the friendly people in the area.
Unique benefits of the property
Our family enjoys mountain biking, trekking and surfing. We also like the wine and the food and, in fact, we are only 50m away from Restaurante 'Sítio do Rio', the best restaurant in the area where fresh fish and seafood is delivered by the local fishermen on a daily basis.
