The apartment has many features including on the upper floor: a modern kitchen, dining area and living room which leads out on to a balcony with panoramic views over the two pools. On the lower floor is the main bedroom which leads out on to a large terrace with sun loungers/parasols for private sun bathing and barbecuing, etc. The second bedroom also leads out on to a terrace and is generally cooler in Summer. The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath. The apartment has most things that you could want whilst on holiday including: Satellite TV, (free channels ) DVD player, (a number of DVDs for your enjoyment) radio/CD player, paperbacks, cards, dominoes, etc. It has fantastic sea views, is close to all amenities and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

There is no preferred change over day. However, check in time is after 2.00 pm and check out time is before 10.00 am. We will always try to be flexible.

Further details indoors:
The apartment has most things that you could want whilst on holiday including: Satellite TV, (free channels only) DVD player, (and an assortment of dvds for your enjoyment) radio/CD player, cards, dominoes, books, iron, board and hairdryer.

The apartment is cleaned and managed by a local manager who can be contacted if there are any problems. The apartment is serviced, towels are changed every 3 to 4 days and bed linen is changed at the end of each week.

Heaters and blankets are provided for times of the year when the evenings get a little cool.

Further details outdoors:
The special feature of this apartment is the amount of space outside. It has 2 balconies and a large secluded patio for either sunbathing, eating or just relaxing.

The apartment is duplex and access to both floors is by either internal and/or external staircase.

Accessibility
The main facilities at Vilamar including the two swimming pools and tennis court are available from April through to October each year. Breakfasts, light snacks and bar facilities are all reasonably priced and are also available from April through to October. Unfortunately the apartment is not really suitable for wheel chair users.

Outside
There are two circular pools - a children's and an adults. Pool loungers are available free of charge and as the apartment is part of a small complex there is always plenty of space to sunbathe.

Coast/Beach
The Beach of Light i.e. Praia da Luz is approximately 15 minutes walk away. It is clean and safe.

The beaches of Burgau (small) and Lagos (massive) are 10 and 15 minutes drive away respectively.

Golf
The Boavista golf course is 5 minutes drive from the apartment and a number of other golf courses are within 25 to 20 minutes drive.

Travel
The airport of Faro is about 55 minutes drive mostly covered by excellent motorways.

Directions from Faro airport to the apartment and how to obtain the key to the apartment will be sent 8 weeks before departure.

Distances
Why not explore the historical town of Lagos and its fabulous marina - only 10 minutes drive away. Travel half an hour up the West Coast and experience the most amazing beaches and waves. Travel half a hour in other directions and you will be able to experience a number of water Theme Parks, excellent Retail Shopping or traditional rural Portuguese villages. There are numerous walks including the one from Luz to Burgau (60 minutes) with its spectacular cliff top views over the Atlantic.

Further details
Praia da Luz has several shops, cafes, excellent restaurants, well stocked supermarkets, doctors, and a safe sandy beach - the central attraction for many visitors. It also has a Doctor and Dentist surgery.

Booking notes
A booking deposit of 25% is required when making a booking; the balance is paid 8 weeks before departure. A security payment of £100.00 (refundable) is required against any damages or breakages.

After we receive your deposit, a receipt and confirmation of your holiday booking details will be sent to you.

A Welcome Pack (tea, milk, bread, water, cheese, etc) can be ordered for a small charge when making a booking.

I can not recommend this apartment highly enough. It is situated with easy access to Praia da Luz and many other small villages along the coastline. The apartment itself is beautiful.

When we arrived and opened the door we were more than delighted with what we saw. The apartment is exceptionally clean and tidy and all the fixtures and fittings are of excellent quality. It is the nicest apartment that we have ever been lucky enough to book. There was everything that we could possibly require in the apartment and excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities. It was spotlessly clean and very well maintained.

About the owner
I live in Southport UK. I have done a lot of travelling over the years and I eventually bought this apartment in Alagarve, Portugal. I use the apartment for myself/family/friends for holidays throughout the year and to have a relaxing time.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
Although I rent it, I try to think of it as my holiday home and when I retire maybe one day, will I spend all of my time out there. The apartment has a spectacular view over the ocean and eating outside is an absolute pleasure. It's so relaxing and peaceful. Praia da Luz is a wonderful small Portuguese town and only 10 minutes drive to the busy town of Lagos - the best of both worlds.

Unique benefits of the property
The apartment is within walking distance (15 mins) to the beach and town of Luz. I have renovated the kitchen and bathroom so all mod cons are available for my guests. I have been very lucky as all my guests have really enjoyed their stay and looked after the place for me.
