Just 70m from the sand, situated in the beachfront zone at Praia da Luz, this well appointed villa offers great accommodation for 10 people. The villa has a 9m x 5m heated pool plus separate paddling pool end, set in a pretty walled garden planted with shrubs, lemon trees and mature palms. Purpose built barbecue area with shaded dining for 10, and prep area with fridge, and sink. Second shaded outside dining area off dining room - great for summer breakfast and sunbeds around the pool.
Tastefullly furnished and well equipped, ideally positioned for family holidays, the property offers not only the advantages and amenities of a central position next to the beach, but also a high level of privacy and security afforded by the enclosed walled gardens. A car is not at all necessary for a holiday at this property although there is off streeet parking for one car. The villa offers level access and is wheelchair accessible. Pool heating is included in all seasons except Winter (November - March). Firewood included in winter price. Gas Central heating extra charge at gas cost. Discounted prices are offered for last minute bookings. Winter lets in excess of 15 days will be subject to a discounted rate. Changeover day
Rentals are by the week and changeover day is Saturday during the summer season. Winter lets may commence any day of the week and are charged per day with a minimum stay of 5 days. Entry is after 2pm on arrival day and exit by 10am on departure.

Accessibility
One bedroom suite will accommodate wheelchair users with wide doorways and wet room ensuite. Please see our website for photographs. Open plan ground floor allows easy access to all the living spaces in the villa. Level access to all areas of the Garden and poolside. There are no steps between the villa and the beachfront. The beach is accessible with ramps and boardwalks and public facilities.
Outside
Secure entry gate allows for a high degree of privacy within the gardens. The gardens are well planted with flowering shrubs, and palms, and are maintained weekly. The pool is solar heated with electric heat pump back up, and has a cover. Pool is cleaned and water tested weekly, or twice weekly in high season with greater use and hotter weather. Pool heating is included in rental price in all seasons except winter. Garden lights and pool lights provide for evening entertainment. Ample sunbeds and outside furniture. Outside shower by the pool. Purpose built barbecue area with dining table for 10. Prep area with sink and fridge. Second outside dining table under pergola off dining room - great for breakfast. There is one shaded off street parking space. However, with all local services and supermarkets nearby, a car is not at all necessary for a holiday at this property. Outside, and along the beachfront, the road is access only for pedestrians, resident parking, and deliveries.
Coast/Beach
Praia da Luz is arguably one of the prettiest beaches in the Western Algarve, sporting the european blue flag, and classified as accessible with ramps and walkways and facilities for the disabled. East are picturesque rocky coves and the long sandy crescent of Meia Praia at Lagos, within 10 minutes drive. 15 minutes West are the resort beaches of Burgau and Salema, and further again are a multitude of beaches frequented by surfers, Spectacular and less busy but not so safe for small children.
Golf
There are 4 golf courses within 5 - 20 minutes of Luz, the nearest and most recently completed being Quinta da Boavista. There is also the challenging, hilly course at Parque da Floresta to the west, and Palmares and Penina, both east of Lagos. For parties of all day golfers in low season and winter we can arrange in villa catering for full breakfast and evening meals as required.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport at only a 1 hour drive away. We can arrange car hire or taxi transfer for you.

Praia da Luz beach 70m. Historic town of Lagos 8 mins by car. Cape St Vincent 30 mins by car.
Further details
The villa is centrally placed and within walking distance to all village amenities which include post office, bank, cash dispensing machines, several supermarkets, pharmacy, English-speaking doctors surgery and dentist. Zoomarine dolphin park and Slide and Splash water park provide coach transport from Luz. Anglican church services are held on Sunday in the local church. Tennis is available, including lessons and friendly tournaments. There are two water-sport centres on the beach providing everything from banana boat rides, to sailing lessons, to fishing excursions. From Lagos you can try parasailing, deep-sea fishing, dolphin safari, or visit the grottos by fishing boat. There are several surf centers offering day trips to wherever the waves are best on the day, wetsuits, equipment and instruction as required. Luz can offer truly international cuisine in a wide choice of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and occasions. Many are family friendly and also offer a takeaway service. For a change of scene we recommend an evening out in the historic town of Lagos. The 8 minute taxi ride is inexpensive - let us book for you and just sit back and enjoy the local wines.
