The villa is only 5 minutes drive from the stunning beach of Foz do Arelho and Obidos Lagoon. Other beaches in either direction including Sao Martinho do Porto are within a 20 minute drive. Only 2km from motorway access the villa is withing easy reach of the historic towns of Allcobaca, Obidos and Fatima. The villa is the ideal base to explore the region or to just spend time relaxing in.

Utility Room: Downstairs shower, utility room, toilet, basin with fitted units, free standing single seat multi jet shower cubicle with built in utility area (can be shut off with sliding doors) with a tumble dryer and washing machine plus additional laundry sink.
Living Rooms: Spacious double aspect lounge/diner overlooks the pool, two sets of double doors to outside deck level pool, jacuzzi, leisure area. 2 large sofas TV, DVD, satellite, music system, log fire, dining table with seating for 12/selection of CDs, DVDs, books.
Other: Ground floor playroom/bedroom with sofa bed/TV/Playstation 2 and selection of games, double aspect with double opening doors to pool/jacuzzi/leisure area. Range of outdoor/indoor pool games, colouring pens, books etc, buckets, spades.

Weekly towel and linen change included. Maid service available as an extra. Beach towels provided for and additional £1.50 per towel per week. Property cleaned on arrival and departure days.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is extremely spacious, suitable for children and is ideal for several families to enjoy a break in comfort. The lobby area has a small 14 in one games table which includes pool/table top football/table tennis. For the Winter months there are electric oil and gas heaters available for all rooms and log fire in the lounge. For the Summer months portable fans are available aswell as a portable air-con unit. Two hairdryers/ironing board/portable clothes airer are available for guest use. The villa is equipped with electrically operated aluminium shutters which lock in place when lowered/smoke and carbon monoxide detectors/fire extinguisher and fire blanket/first aid box and safe.

Outside
Large (11m x 6m) private deck level pool/jacuzzi with fountains/steps down to shallow end. Huge south facing leisure/barbecue area with subdued outdoor lighting provides an ideal spot for alfresco dining/socialising and relaxing. Designated BBQ and sink next to the kitchen. Alfresco dining with tables, parasols and seating for 12 guests. 10 sun loungers (6 cushion covers). Buckets spades/arm bands/floats/tennis and badminton rackets/volley ball etc provided. Secure gated access and driveway parking for several vehicles (additional off road parking to the front of the property for several vehicles). If you need peace and quiet there is access via a side gate from the leisure area to the side of the property which has a bench seat, country views and plenty of shade for most of the day. To the side of the property there is a pine tree wood and the area provides some lovely country walks (for the energetic the lagoon can be reached via a lovely cross country walk approx 2km).

Coast/Beach
5 minutes drive to the beautiful beach of Foz do Arelho and the tranquil Obidos Lagoon and sailing club. 15 minutes drive to the stunning Sao Martinho do Porto Bay (13km). 30 mins drive to the surfers paradise of Baleal. 25 mins drive to Peniche. 30 minutes drive to bustling Nazare.

Golf
There are a number of top of the range golf courses, which are a 20 minute drive from the villa. These include the well renowned Prai d'el Rey, which is situated along the coast just south of the villa and Golden eagle which is situated more inland near Rio Major. Directions can be given on request.

Travel
Car hire is essential. Cheap flights available from various low cost airlines such as Easyjet/BMI/BA to Lisbon and Ryanair to Porto. 1 hours drive from Lisbon airport-90kms via toll motorway. 2.5 Hours drive from Porto Airport-245 kms via toll motorway. 3.0 hours drive to Faro airport. Railway and coach station within a 5 min drive. There are regular buses to Lisbon, Foz do Arelho and Caldhas da Rainha.

Distances
5 minutes drive to the Obidos sailing school. 10 minutes drive to Obidos castle. 5 minutes drive to Caldhas da Rainha. 30km to Prai d'el Rey golf course. 36km to Golden Eagle golf course. 84km to religious town of Fatima. 25km to karting in Bombarral. 30 minutes drive to the aqua parks in Peniche and Nazare.

Further details
The sailing school on Obidos lagoon is only a few minutes drive away and the lagoon is ideal for young children to paddle and swim in due to its shallow calm warmer water.

Booking notes
We require a 30% reservation deposit on booking the villa, with the remainder payable a minimum of 8 weeks before departure. Booking within 30 days of travel must be paid in full. Breakage deposit of £200 repayable within 14 days return after OK from our local agent. Strictly no smoking inside the property please. Short term breaks (4 days or less considered).
