This property provides over 1900sq.ft of living space and provides excellent accommodation for couples and families alike. It is ideally situated for golfing or family holidays, and having returned recently from both, I can assure you that both the villa and location has everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Each of the bedrooms comes with its own en-suite. The large kitchen has everything you need to self cater, the villa is also situated within a 5 minute walk of the impressive golf clubhouse or a short taxi ride to numerous restaurants all serving excellent food, should you not wish to cook yourself. The main living area comprises a large open plan Lounge and Dining area, with seating for 6 adults. There is an array of techology, including a 42" LED TV, blu-ray DVD player, Playstation 2 games console, Freesat HD Tv, CD player and i pod docking speakers.

Changeover day
Usually weekend changeover, but flexible subject to availability. Shorter term rentals may be available upon request. Arrival 4pm, departure by 11am.

| Kitchen: | The large kitchen is complete with every amenity for the self catering holiday. These include fan oven, hob, microwave, espresso coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is also plenty of cutlery, crockery, glasses etc for 6 people. |

Notes on accommodation
The property is fully air-conditioned throughout. Each bedroom has hair dryer provided. There are a number of games and pool inflatables in the villa for your use. The villa is in the ideal location for both golfing or family holidays. Within the villa, you will find a selection of board (monololy, scrabble, rummikub) and card games (packs and Uno), CD's, DVD's and playstation 2 games which you are more than welcome to enjoy. There are also colouring books and pens/pencils for the children, as well as some paperbacks and magazines (limited at the moment) for adults. Outside in the rear courtyard you will find inflatables, bucket and spades , bat and balls and other beach toys.
Accessibility
The villa provides wide door access for guests with mobility problems, although it should be noted (as shown in the pictures) that access to the pool level terrace is via 3 steps.
There are downstairs bedrooms and en-suite facilities.
Outside
The lounge leads via fully retractable patio doors (they open into the wall) to an outdoor eating area, with patio furniture for 8, this in turn leads down to a private terrace with swimming pool (approx 24' x 12') and 6 sunbeds. There is also a state of the art Parasol for that bit of shade when it all gets too much! The terrace also has a built in BBQ area with sink. Whilst enjoying a relaxing swim or BBQ, you can enjoy the stunning views over the golf course and nature reserve to the Algarve coastline.
Coast/Beach
The Algarve is famous for its beaches and the Eastern Algarve area is probably the best of the lot. Within 10 minute drive of the villa there are miles and miles of unspoilt beautiful beaches. The beaches at Altura and Praire Verde are some of the finest in Europe, and are quieter and totally unspoilt with small seafood restaurants providing excellent food. The beach at Monte Gordo is once again beautiful and unspoilt, but has more bars, restaurants and shops and is livelier in the summer.
Golf
Set in the Castro Marim Golf and Country Club, and overlooking the 11th fairway of the original course, the villa is ideally situated for a golfing holiday. The complex now provides 3 x 9 holes, being the Atlantic, Guadiana and Grouse courses, each with its own challenges. Nearby (less than 5 minutes) is a Seve Ballesteros signature course (Quinta do Vale), a fantastic course with stunning views. Additionally there is a signature Jack Nicklaus course (Monte Rei) and numerous other courses in the Algarve and over the bridge into the Costa da Luz (Spain) all within 20-30 mins drive. The Eastern Algarve benefits from less busy and cheaper golf courses than the more famous Vilamoura area, yet providing equal quality golfing. Guests can benefit from 30% discount on golf fees at castro marim and 10% discount on buggy rental.
Special interest holidays
The villa is ideally situated for a golfers holiday, benefiting from 3 x 9 hole courses 'on site' and between 8 and 10 top class courses within a 20 minute drive. All local courses are considerably cheaper than the majority of the Algarve, whilst not compromising the quality of the course.
Travel
The villa is situated in the far Eastern end of the Algarve and approximately 40 minutes drive from Faro International Airport. The motorway (A22) provides for simply access (no traffic). Spain is a 5 minute drive away, and further into Spain, Seville can be reached in 70 minutes. The beaches in Spain are equally as spectacular as those in the Algarve. The Marina at Isla Canela is well worth a visit.
Distances
The nearest town is Historic Castro Marim (with its own castle) only 5 minutes drive away. Another 5 minutes takes you into vila Real, which is home to a marina, and quaint streets housing intimate little squares, coffee shops and restaurants. Slightly further afield is Monte Gordo, with its shops, bars and restaurants as well as a casino. Approximately 20 minutes drive is the lovely town of Tavira.
Further details
Banks are provided in Vila Real, Castro Marim and Monte Gordo, there is an ATM machine in the complex clubhouse. There are numerous local restaurants, many of which will provide transport to and from their restaurant free of charge. The restaurant within the Castro Marim clubhouse provides excellent value lunches and evening meals.

Booking notes
Bookings are being taken subject to a 20% non refundable deposit. The balance being payable 8 weeks prior to departure. A £200 deposit is taken against breakages and damage, which is refunded 2 weeks after the end of the rental subject to no damage having been caused. About the owner
I live in England with my Wife (recently married) and our 3 children. I decided to purchase the villa at Castro Marim, after having travelled the length of the Algarve in search of my ideal holiday home. Castro Marim was my ideal location as with 3 children I needed to be near to the beach, but with my passion for golf and the 2 boys getting older (and into golf), I also needed the additional benefits that a golf complex bring.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Having researched the Algarve as a potential holiday home location, it became apparent that many area's of the Algarve are over developed and in my opinion have been spoilt by over commercialism. This is not the case in the Eastern most part of this stunning coastline. Together with the added bonus of being so close to Spain, it is my perfect location. Added to this the excellent golfing facilities on site and nearby, means the villa provides year round enjoyment, for family and golfing holidays.
Unique benefits of the property
Having just returned from a week long family "beach" holiday, it would be difficult to find a better array of beaches than this part of the Algarve and Spanish coastline. All providing safe bathing for younger children. The Villa being only 5 minutes from the Algarve beaches, and 5 minutes from Spain has proven to be a perfect location. Additionally, being on a golf complex and having 8-10 top class courses within a 20 minute drive allows for excellent golf holidays.
