The apartment has unimpaired waterside panoramic views over the Ria Formosa Lagoon, across to the Atlantic coast. It has every amenity including a pool, lifts, and garage. In this apartment you are never far from a sea view. An ideal base to enjoy relaxing sunny days and the many activities in the surrounding area (golf, water sports, watching wildlife on the Ria Formosa) or exploring the Algarve. It is also within easy reach of Andalucia in Spain (30 minutes by car).

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. Departure time is 10am. Arrival time is after 4pm. If other times are required please contact us and we will see if we can accommodate you. You will be met on your arrival at the apartment. More details on booking.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1: king size bed and a balcony with views over the pool and the Ria Formosa.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds (can be made to a king). Integrated wardrobe and drawers. There is a superior king size sofa bed in the lounge area with partition screen.
Bathrooms: En-suite bathroom to bedroom 1 with shower, wc, bidet.
Bathroom with bath/shower, wc and bidet.
Kitchen: A newly fitted kitchen with breakfast bar which opens onto the dining area. It includes a fridge/freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, glassware, cutlery and other kitchen essentials. A door opens to the utility.
Utility Room: The utility contains the boiler, washing machine, clothes airer, ironing board and iron. The outer walls are slatted which allows the air to circulate.
Living Rooms: The living area is well equipped and furnished to a high standard. There is a 2 seater, chair and 3 seater sofa (pulls out to a king size bed). There are sliding doors that lead to the main balcony and side balcony both with fantastic views.
Other: There is a dining area with dining table and six chairs - there are sliding doors which open onto the main balcony. The main balcony has panoramic views across the Ria Formosa and Atlantic coast. It has comfortable seating and room to eat alfresco.

Notes on accommodation
There is private and secure parking in the garage (below the apartments) where one space is allocated to the apartment. Parking is also available outside the building. The apartment is within a secure complex and entry is via an electronic surveillance system. There are keys to use the pool gate which exits on the path next to the Ria Formosa and leads to the Promenade. All the windows are double glazed with shutters for the bedrooms and all rooms have ceiling fans. Sorry no pets or smoking permitted within the apartment. There is an information folder to help you enjoy your stay. Travel cot, high chair are available on request.

Accessibility
The complex entrance is accessed via 4 steps or ramp. The apartment is on the elevated ground floor which is down a flight of stairs (approx 14 steps), there are 2 lifts which give access to all floors and the pool area and the garage.

Outside
The complex has a large shared pool (heated) and large grass area. There are also shaded areas for getting out of the direct sun. The complex is walled which shelters it from the wind if it happens to be blowing.

Coast/Beach
The lagoon beach is no more than 500 metres away as is the ferry to the Atlanic beach, which takes no more than 10 minutes. The lagoon beach has calm water and a decent size sandy beach. The Atlantic Beach is golden sand which (Isla Amenos) stretches for 5 miles. Tavira also boosts some gorgeous beaches. The Ria Formosa which runs inland of the atlantic coast can be viewed (through 180 degrees) from the apartment balcony and can be explored as you head either east or west from Fuzeta.

Golf
There are 5 of the top golf courses in easy driving from Fuzeta (15-20 minutes drive) - for example Benamor, Quinta de Ria, Quinta de Cima and newly opened Monte Rei. A bit further on is a hillier course at Castro Marim. Approximately 50 minutes bring you to the courses of the Western Algarve (Vale de Lobo, San Lorenzo, Qunita de Lago and the courses around Villamoura).

Special interest holidays
As well as swimming and walking, there are many roads suitable for exploring by bike and the terrain offers more challenging mountain bike routes. There are many other activities available along the Eastern Algarve - water sports such as windsurfing, kite surfing areas are within easy reach of Fuzeta. The lagoon at Fuzeta is used for kitesurfing by a local company - another company operates out of Cabanas in Tavira - more details are available. If you like to explore the natural habitat and watch birds then this apartment allows you to observe the wildlife on the Ria Formosa from close quarters and is an excellent base for walking. There is also a wetland at Castro Marim.

Travel
Faro airport is some 35 minutes from Fuzeta by road. Hire cars and taxis are available from the airport - a taxi costs approximately 25 euros (these are also available locally). A car is not actually necessary to enjoy the sites of the Eastern Algarve as the train station is 5 minutes walk away, giving access to as far as Lagos in the western Algarve, via Faro and Olhao, and to the Spanish border in the east via Tavira. Fares are low and excellent value.

Distances
The local shops (Loja Fresco supermarket 3 minute walk) and markets in Fuzeta are a short walk away, as are numerous cafes and restaurants. The two nearest towns are Olhao, (10 minutes away by train), and Tavira (20 minutes by train). Faro is only a little further, the old town is worth a visit. The visitor centre for the Ria Formosa is near Olhao which identifies how to explore this Nature Reserve. Due to the apartment's position, from the balcony one can see many species of birds feeding.

Further details
Fuzeta has all the amenities that you need - the nearest cafe is 1 minute from the apartment, the bank and cashpoint 2 minutes. There are a variety of restaurants and a seafront bar -more details can be found in the folder in the apartment. Being a fishing town there are a few fish restaurants. If you love to shop (window or for real) then more serious shopping can be found at Ria Shopping in Olhao and closer to Faro (Forum Algarve off the N125). There is also a cinema at the Forum which shows English films. Staying local there is a market the first Thursday of the month, a flea market the 1st Sunday of the month and a regular Saturday market in Olhao. The closest supermarket - 3 minute walk up from the apartment has a good selection available and sells fresh bread in the mornings. Olhao boosts bigger supermarkets. As well as the coastal towns mentioned there are some inland towns worth exploring which give a different view of the Eastern Algarve (Estoi, Sao Bras, Sagres).

To book the apartment a 25% booking deposit is required and the remainder to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit will also be required - details will be given on booking.
