The villa has local amenities within walking distance including two well stocked mini-markets, bars and restaurants including the exclusive Vila Joya gourmet restaurant boasting two Michelin stars and are all only a short pleasant stroll away. The villa is 35 minutes drive from Faro Airport (42 km).

For those who play golf, The challenging Premier golf course at Salgados is only 1 mile from the villa. This is an inspiring coastal course, which has a frightening fourteen water hazards.

Towns to visit:
Faro – The biggest town in southern Portugal. Capital of the Algarve, which has a Museum, Cathedral and Marina.
Albufeira – Very popular holiday spot and is the Algarve’s largest resort.
Loule – Pleasant inland town renowned for its traditional handicrafts, splendid Sunday market and Museum.
Silves – Is known for its citrus fruits and cork production. Silves has plenty to see including a Castle, Museum and Cathedral.

Monchique – Sometimes a welcome change from beaches and villas, Monchique is all about cobbled streets and rural sentiment, situated in the mountains.
Lagos – A lively, colourful and cheerful resort. Attracts predominantly young crowds and is very cosmopolitan. Sights include Churches and Museums.
Guia (10 minute drive) has become famous in recent years for its excellent selection of restaurants, and is particularly renowned for specialising in the local favourite “Chicken Piri-Piri”, it is also home to the second largest shopping centre in the Algarve which boasts more than 130 stores, 45 fashion boutiques, 10 pin bowling, multi screen cinema and a variety of restaurants.
The popular town of Albufeira (10 minute drive) is the biggest and most energetic resort in the Algarve and is awash with bars and cafes. The older quarter of this former fishing village has retained much of its original mellow charm with narrow cobbled streets, whilst “The Strip” is Albufeira’s mini Las Vegas and is a neon-lit runway of hotels, restaurants, bars and discos, which lend the resort its none-stop party atmosphere. The new Albufeira Marina has now opened with its array of shops and restaurants.
The location is also excellent for children’s attractions with all the following being less than 20 minutes from the villa:
