This elegant, architect-designed dwelling is located within the tranquil setting of the CampoReal Golf Resort & Spa. The resort is conveniently located 30 minutes north of Lisbon and within 20 minute of the beaches on the Silver Coast. Portugal’s 600km of west-facing coastline has the best waves, miles of golden, sandy beaches, and many tiny, rocky coves to explore. You have the beaches of Peniche, Santa Cruz and Praia Azul that are world famous for water sports such as surfing and kite surfing. Lisbon offers world-class museums, galleries, shopping, restaurants and a brilliant nightlight. Par-que das Nações, originally the site of Expo 98, has become a new focus for Lisbon and offers an excellent day out for the family or us shopaholics. Many sporting activities are available at the CampoReal Golf Resort & Spa.

High season rates (€2,000per week, €400 per day) apply for the two weeks over Easter and for the two weeks over Christmas.
Discounts available for multi-week rentals during low (end of September until end of February) and mid (end of February until end of June) season.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday however please contact the owner to determine flexibility.
The property is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Contact the owner to discuss flexibility.

Notes on accommodation
The property has been designed to allow high quality living and is suitable for children (supervision required around the pool in particular) and elderly.
The following services are available at additional cost. Daily maid services, baby sitting services, local excursions, transfers to/from the resort.
The following hotel facilities are available for use at additional cost. Swimming pools, spa, gymnasium, 18 golf course and tennis courts. The hotel offers 3 restaurants and 2 bars available to the public.
On the resort there is a gourmet supermarket, with a wide variety of high quality food and beverages. If you can't find what you're looking for, a fully equipped supermarket with a full range of food, beverages and household goods is within 10 minutes drive of the resort. Finally, the local village of Torres Vedras (10 minute drive) has full range of community services including a hospital, a children's playground and small cafes.
Outside
Outside there is a private heated swimming pool (10m x 5m), terraced areas and a large garden. Set the temperature control to "paradise" for the ultimate day in the pool. While not swimming laze away the days on one of the four high quality sunloungers that surround the swimming pool.
At breakfast, lunch and dinner take advantage of the outdoor dining facilities which include a dining table with seating for 8 people on one of the terraced areas. There is also a full sized barbeque which offers an idea opportunity for the self confessed chef's to test out their cooking prowess.
Coast/Beach
Portugal’s 600km of west-facing coastline has the best waves, miles of golden, sandy beaches, and many tiny, rocky coves to explore. You have the beaches of Peniche, Santa Cruz and Praia Azul that are world famous for water sports such as Surfing and Kite Surfing. The nearest beaches are within 20 minutes (by car) of the resort, making an ideal morning, afternoon or all day outing for the entire family.
Golf
The centrepiece of The CampoReal Golf Resort & Spa is the challenging 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by world-renowned golf architect Donald Steel. Undulating greens and uphill and downhill drives test your skill and precision, while the elevated tees offer stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and country hills. The pro shop and first hole is within walking distance of the villa. If you would like to try out other courses there are 18 golf courses within an hours drive of the resort.
Travel
Lisbon airport is conveniently located just 30 minutes drive from the resort. A car is recommended however it is possible to arrange transfer to/from the airport. Alternatively, taxis are available at the airport.

Booking notes
At the time of booking a security deposit is taken, this is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled. Full payment is due 6 weeks prior to the booked dates and is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled. The security deposit will be returned after departure assuming no damage to the property.

About the owner
I live in England with my wife and two children. My wife and I both work and our children are just starting school. We spend our holidays in Portugal at our villa, enjoying the pool and resort facilities as well as the activities and attractions available on the Silver Coast and in Lisbon.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the property off-plan in 2006 - the build completed in December 2008. We were interested in finding a property that provided luxury living, nice weather and exceptional facilities for our young family during the holiday season. We considered properties in the UK and across the continent but finally settled upon this property for the climate, the proximity to Lisbon and for the resort facilities. The development that is taking place in this area (and the regulation governing adherence to tradition) make it a wonderful place to experience both urban and rural life. The beaches of the Atlantic offer wonderful days out for the family while the various food markets (fruit and produce, fish etc) offer ready access to excellent ingredients for home cooking.
Unique benefits of the property
The property is ideally located near Lisbon and the surrounding villages and market towns of the Silver Coast. A number of attractions (the Lisbon zoo, the Lisbon exhibition centrer, the beaches of Cascais and Estoril, the farmers market at Caldas das Rainha) offer the opportunity for family days out. Within an hour of the resort are a number of championship golf courses while 5 minutes from the resort is an equestrian center which caters for all ages. That is without mentioning the various activities available at the 5 star Westin resort in which the property is located. We love the proximity of our property to many activities and attractions that appeal to all ages and all interests.
