New on the market this recently converted property. An ideal location 1 minute from the safe, sandy beach, restaurants and amenities of Burgau village. Burgau is situated in a National Park and as one of the few remaining fishing villages in the Algarve it has charm and character with all that you need for a relaxing and stress-free holiday. The apartment itself has light and airy rooms that can accommodate 4 easily with a double bed and two singles (transformable into a double) and an extra two people can sleep on the large sofa-bed in the living room. All equipment is provided for up to 6 people and beach towels are also included. The living room offers wonderful sea views from every aspect and has a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy the evening with a glass of wine!

Changeover day

Coast/Beach
Safe, sandy beach is one minute from the front door. Dolphins sometimes come and play in the bay! There are many, many beaches in the vicinity... some with surf, some deserted, some within a hike along the cliffs, some a short car ride away. Go exploring and find your favourite!

Travel
Lisbon 3 hours. Porto 6 hours. Seville 2 hours. Faro 50 mins. From Faro airport take the motorway (A22) direction Lagos.Exit at Lagos West and follow N125 heading to Vila do Bispo and turn off for Burgau. Nearest train station is in Lagos 8km. Bus service runs through the village and there are taxis available. A car is not essential but does open up a lot more possibilities. Driving in Portugal is easy and not stressful!

World class surfing beaches on West Coast 25 mins. Formula One Motor Park in Portimao 20 mins drive. Watersports in Luz /Lagos 10 min. PADI courses. Water and amusement parks 30 mins drive. Sagres (the 'End of the World') 25 mins drive offers dolphin-watching boat trips, fishing, bird watching. Head up into the mountain village of Monchique 45 mins to see a different side to the Algarve. Experience the delicious local cuisine and fabulous wines. Clubs and nightlife in Lagos/Portimao.

The local village has 2 small supermarkets, bread shop, very useful general hardware/all purpose store internet facilities and a cash withdrawal machine (ATM).
There are approx 10 restaurants and 4 bars serving local food and drink including the renowned Beach Bar and Casa Grande. Also a small Indian restaurant and a pizzeria.
Booking notes
25% to reserve. The remainder to be paid in full 8 weeks before first day of holiday period. Security deposit required of 200 euros at time of booking which will be re-funded in full or with appropriate deductions for any damages caused during the stay. This refund will be completed within 15 days of departure.

"The apartment was much more than I was expecting! There was everything we needed when we got there plus more. It was so easy to find our way around and also find great places to go for dinner, buy fresh fish, and buy bread. If you have a car there is a lot more to do within a less than one hour drive but if you don't the beach one minute away is ace anyway! It is the perfect place to be have a simple dinner at home with some nice, inexpensive but delicious wine or go out for a nice dinner with a seaside breeze. Its everything you want destination holiday resorts to have but it feels like its yours. I would come back again in a heartbeat!"
