Casa Quinze (M-15) is a split-level villa located near the crest of the hillside overlooking the village and beach of Salema. The house is set in a mature garden with shady trees. Upstairs is the open-plan lounge/dining room and the front terrace with beautiful views of the sea and countryside. Both bedrooms on the lower floor provide direct access to the pool, the surrounding terrace and the garden in front. The beach, shops and restaurants are only a short walk away. Personal on-site assistance provided (as desired).

Coast/Beach
Praia de Salema (the beach of Salema) is only a 5 minute walk away from the house. Other picturesque beaches are within hiking distance (Praia Santa, Praia Figueira). Praia do Castelejo, Praia Amado and many other locations popular with surfers and lovers of endless beaches are within 30 minutes by car.
Golf
The 'Parque da Floresta' 18-hole golf and leisure resort are just 5 minutes by car away. Other golf courses within 30 minutes drive include: 'Boavista' at Luz, 'Palmares' between Lagos and Odiaxere, 'Penina' (Championship) near Alvor, 'Alto' between Alvor and Portimao, 'Morgado' and 'Alamos' - North of Portimao, 'Silves' (Pestana) at Silves, 'Gramacho' and 'Pinta' (Pestana) near Carvoeiro. Details, green fees and booking on request.
Special interest holidays
Tours (geology and archeology) with qualified (English speaking) guide or cliff and beach walks along the coast from Salema to Sagres can be arranged on request.
Boat trip (approximately) 2 hrs from Praia de Salema to Praia Barranca (near Sagres).
Travel
From the nearest international airport (Faro) it is approximately 105km to Salema - with the A22 motorway from Faro to Lagos-West it takes little more than 1 hour to drive to Salema. Public transport by railway ends at the Lagos station. Regular bus service between Lagos - Seville, Lisbon and many other destinations in Portugal; local bus service from Lagos to Sagres (and Salema) to the West and Portimao, Albufeira, Faro in the East.

The nearest places of interest are West: Vila do Bispo 8.5km. Sagres 17km. Cabo Sao Vicente 22km. East: Lagos 20km. Silves 37km. Portimao 46km.
Further details
Well stocked markets and supermarkets in Salema or nearby (2km) Budens cater for most of the needs. The local restaurants use fresh fish from the catch of the day and the tasty vegetables and fruits of the land around.

About the owner
We came to Portugal the first time in 1995. We instantly liked the people, the way of life and the (still) intact nature in the Western Algarve. In 2000 we moved to Salema to live here permanently - no regrets.
