Casa Malhadina is suitable for winter and summer holidays as the under-floor heating along with the wood-burner makes this an ideal winter hideaway. Come and sample local grown organic vegetables, eat locally baked bread with their own fresh honey. The villa is a 15 minute drive to wonderful blue flag beaches and 45 minutes from Faro airport.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. The villa can be hired out separately from the apartment if the extra accommodation is not required.
Discounts for long winter rentals. Price from 600 to 800 pounds per week.
Changeover day
We will try to be as flexible as possible on changeover day. We ask kindly that you vacate by 11am and new guests check in by 3pm.

Notes on accommodation
No smoking inside villa. A welcome pack is waiting for you, with local honey and fresh baked bread, milk, tea etc.
There is a cot, highchair, baby walker, and lots of children's toys. Tennis rackets, body boards. Many inflatables for the pool. Use of an extensive English Library. Outside marble table and chairs.
Accessibility
The two main bedrooms are downstairs and are wheel chair friendly. The only steps in the villa lead to the one upstairs bedroom. Large walk in shower making bathing for the young or infirm easy.
Outside
The 8x4 pool is situated to the side of the property and is completely private. Large secluded areas for sunbathing with a large assortment of loungers and deck chairs. Large sunshades. A gas BBQ and a Portuguese bread oven. Many different types of trees native to Portugal are situated in the gardens. The gardens are enclosed by fencing with electric gates. Wonderful countryside to walk or cycle around.
Coast/Beach
The closest beach is a 15 minute drive and the beaches can be seen from our villa. Glorious white sand with safe beaches. Beach towels provided. Parasols to take to the beach along with buckets and spades, body boards.
Golf
The nearest golf course, Montei Rei is 5km away, with 5 other golf courses all within a 15km drive.

Travel
The nearest airport is Faro which is a 45 minute drive away. Car hire is essential to appreciate the beauty of the Eastern Algarve.
Distances
Just a 5 minute walk away where you can eat Portuguese or English food. The local bar, has a small shop and a restaurant, it is a 10 minute walk away, where you can purchase local fresh goods and basic foods. Our nearest town is Vila Nova de Cacela and is a 12 minute drive away. The historical town of Tavira is a 20 minutes drive.
Further details
Villa Nova De Cacela is a small town where you can purchase nearly everything you could need for your holiday from sun tan lotion, to freshly baked cakes to windsurfers. If you have had enough of sunbathing and want to try something different, or need to take back holiday presents you can travel to Tavira. There in Tavira you can shop till you drop in our brand new shopping complex with over 40 different types of shops.
Booking notes
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and full payment 6 weeks before travel. The prices for the villa is in Sterling. Prices from 600 to 800 pounds per week for the 2 bedroom villa and the 1 bedroom apartment. Discounts if only the villa is rented.

About the owner
We have owned our villa for 6 years and live there for 6 months of the year. We have made Casa Malhadina our home with everything we need to entertain friends as well as it being cosy and lived in. John and I personally meet and greet you. Our 4 grown up children regularly visit and now our young grandchildren are keen to spend their holidays with us.
In our local village there is a wonderful ex pat community which meet every week for line dancing for the women and line drinking for the men! Book club once a month, craft morning and much more. We really enjoy seeing new faces and you will be very warmly welcomed. The restaurant which is a 5 minute walk away has a swimming pool as well as live music once or twice a week. They have an extensive English menu as well as Portuguese favourites.
