Vau beach is only 500m away, with its restaurants, and cafes, set into beautiful rock formations. The village of Alvor is less than a 10min. drive, with a diversity of old and modern Portugal, and its restaurants, shops and bars to make an unforgettable holiday.

There is an ample supply of towels (both beach and bath), and bed linen. The towels and linen are changed weekly.
The apartment is cleaned prior to guests arrival, and is cleaned once per week for stays longer than one week.

Notes on accommodation
1. The Samsung Air Conditioning units are fitted in both bedrooms and the Lounge/ Dining room. The machinery is installed in the basement. The units are controlled by individual remote controls, and have cooling, heating, and de-humidifiers.
2. Being on the ground floor, the Apartment is both 'child friendly' and suitable for people who would have problems with climbing stairs.
3. There is no smoking inside the Apartment, but smokers can use the large patio if they so wish.
4. The apartments are accessed by a quiet semi-private road, which makes the location very peaceful, and safe for children.

Outside
There are large, beautifully maintained gardens, which are over 300m in length. A large swimming pool with a shallow childrens section, for the exclusive use of owners and guests, is located at the end of the gardens, with a deck area complete with sun loungers and parasols, toilets, showers,and large barbecue.
The Apartment has its own patio furniture consisting of table chairs, lounger chairs all with cushions. The Golf Clubhouse which is 5 minutes walk from the Apartment has the following facilities. 1. Restaurant. 2. Bar. 3. Terrace. 4. Change Rooms/Toilets. 5. Free internet WiFi access.

Coast/Beach
The Portuguese for beach is 'Praia'.
Praia do Vau is 500m, Praia da Rocha is 2km. Praia Alvor is 2km.
All the beaches on the western Algarve lie at the foot of sandstone rock formations, which are very spectacular. Boat trips which access the many sea caves are especially popular.
The absence of strong sea currents makes the sea very safe to swim in.

Travel
Faro Airport is reached by the A22 motorway, and is 65km (1 hour drive) from the Apartment.

Distances
Alvor village is 2km away, and is a working fishing port. Boat trips are also available at the harbour. It has many restaurants and bars, and is very popular with visitors.
Portimao is the main commercial town in the Western Algarve, and has many places of interest to visit, including Churches, Museums, and a long promenade along the riverfront, with its famous sea food restaurants.
Praia da Rocha, which is the longest beach, has a boardwalk along its length with many restaurants and bars.

Further details
There is a local mini-market within a 5 mins. walk. The continente supermarket, is 5 mins. by car.
There is a wide variety of shopping in central Portimao, which is under 10 mins. by car, or by using the urban bus service 'Vai e Vem' which is excellent, and covers all the areas from Alvor in the west to Portimao/Praia da Rocha in the east. The bus stop is 5 mins. from the Apartment.

Booking notes
Booking should be made only by email. At time of booking a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost, should be made by bank transfer in GBP. The outstanding balance, again paid by bank transfer, must be paid at least 8 weeks prior to the commencement date of the holiday booked.
