Varandas de Carteia is a brand new condominium located just 2 minutes walk from Quarteira's extensive golden sandy beach which stretches for miles in either direction. This luxurious apartment is located on the 1st floor with seaside and pool views from its wrap around balcony. Complete with fully fitted and equipped kitchen, two separate bathrooms (one en-suite) and two nice sized bedrooms. There is a shared outdoor swimming pool with garden area and the apartment also has its own underground parking space. With excellent access to the seafront promenade where you can spend time relaxing with lovely walks along the seafront and enjoy the surroundings. It is ideally situated within easy walking distance of numerous shops, cafés, restaurants, childrens playground and local markets which line the promenade. Just 5 minutes drive from Vilamoura and its many golf courses making it an excellent choice for golfers.

Changeover day
Flexible. Generally you will be able to take possession of the apartment from 3pm on the day of your arrival and will be expected to vacate at 11am on day of departure, however we will try to accommodate early/late flights.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment will sleep 6 people and has air conditioning throughout. Smoking is restricted to the balcony area.
Accessibility
Front door is fitted with key pad and video entry system. First floor apartment accessed via stairs or lift. Underground parking available with access to apartment via stairs or lift. Wheelchair accessible with ramps located at main entrance and to pool area and garden.
Outside
The balcony from the lounge has a teak table and 6 chairs where you can relax and enjoy your meal in the beautiful sunshine with sea views. There are 6 sunbeds with mattresses in the apartment which can be used by clients at the pool.
Coast/Beach
Just 2 mins walk from one of the most desirable beaches in the Algarve. With safe swimming conditions and a long, sandy beach running virtually all the way to Faro. Enjoy fabulous views and easy access to the gorgeous blue flag beach. Take a leisurely stroll into Vilamoura along the beach front and take in the sights of the marina with its dazzling array of yachts, chic boutiques and trendy cafés. There are plenty of shops to browse in and an equal number of places to stop for a cool drink!
Golf
Quarteira is within easy reach of several championship golf courses, including the Old Course at Vilamoura and the Royal Course at Vale do Lobo. Golfers who don't want to pay the high rates at Vale do Lobo or Vilamoura (both of which have 18-hole courses) can stay inexpensively in Quarteira. The courses are only a 10-minute drive away. Other golf courses located nearby are Quinta do Lago, San Lorenzo (Almancil), Ocean Course (Vale do Lobo), Vila Sol, Millennium, Victoria Pinhal and Laguna all within 10-15 minutes of this apartment.
Travel
Quarteira is 15-20 minutes drive from Faro (Algarve) airport by car or taxi. The bus station in Quartiera is just a 5 minute walk from the apartment where you can travel to Faro and Albufeira. The local taxi rank is located right beside the bus station. The tourist train also makes regular trips around Quarteira during the day. With the complex so close to amenities car hire is not necessary but can be arranged locally or at Faro airport. There are taxi numbers available in the apartment also.
Distances
Quarteira is located to the east of Vilamoura about 11km to the west of Faro airport. All amenities are within walking distance of the apartment. Vilamoura is 5 minutes by car or you can walk along the promenade to it. Albufeira is just 40 minutes away by bus.
Further details
Quarteira is a popular beach holiday destination in the summer months, as well as golfers during the spring, autumn and winter seasons. Every Wednesday Quarteira has a big market that attracts visitors from all over the Algarve, so if you like to spot a bargain then this is for you! Quarteira beach has lots of sunbeds and sunshades and there are plenty of cafes and bars nearby. Quarteira has a long seafront promenade, sheltered by palm trees with flowering plants. In the evening, this pleasant walk has an endless stream of holiday visitors examining the restaurant menus and the freshly caught fish. Quarteira still boasts a local fishing community and the fishermen can be seen at work at the western end of the beach. The catches are sold at the nearby fish market early in the morning which you can walk to along the promenade. You can also get other fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables here. There is an excellent supermarket just across the road from the apartment with a fresh meat/cheese counter and fresh bread baked daily. There is a brand new LIDL supermarket nearby also. There are water parks, water sports of all kinds, karting, bowling, tennis, a casino and horse riding all close to hand. There are bank machines along the promenade and the main road, all within walking distance.
Booking notes
A 40% non refundable booking deposit is required in order to secure the booking. Balance to be paid 4 weeks before arrival. If the reservation is made 30 days before the accommodation period commences, payment in full will be required. A further standard deposit of 200 euros will also be required for breakage and other damage. This will be refunded in full after the apartment and inventory have been checked.

The apartment in Varandas de Carteia exceeded our expectations. The interior was very spacious, everything was clean, new and working flawlessly. It was equipped in everything we needed to feel comfortable during holidays. What we enjoyed most is large terrace with ocean view, ideal for having breakfast or simply relaxing with a book. The building is located 10min walking to city centre and just a few steps away from the beaches, supermarket and some nice restaurants. Moreover, the owners were easy to contact, nice and helpful. We had a wonderful holiday in Quarteira, the weather was fantastic. It was lovely to wake up with the sun shining every morning. The apartment was great it's so spacious, ideal for the 5 of us.
