This is a luxury 5 star resort situated in the delightful fishing village of Carvoeiro in the Western Algarve. Just 40 minutes from Faro Airport. The resort offers levels of luxury and amenities which make it one of the Algarves most luxurious holiday destinations. Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in euros. A mid clean and linen and towel change are included during a two week stay. A 40 euro supplement per week is required when the sofa bed is being used.

Notes on accommodation

Accessibility
The apartment is on the first floor with stairs leading to it. It is therefore not suitable for wheelchair access.
Outside
The private terrace has a table, 4 chairs and 2 sunloungers. All 5 outdoor swimming pools are shared with ample sun loungers and umbrellas available. The indoor swimming pool has a solarium beside it for those sunny days when the temperature is not so warm, out of season. There is also two jacuzzi units located here. Drinks and snacks are available at the restaurant next to the main pool. The grounds are tastefully landscaped with several water features.
Coast/Beach
There are many beautiful beaches to choose from all within easy reach of the resort. Carvoeiro beach is within walking distance. A short drive west is Canerios Beach. These are the closest but there are so many you could probably choose a different one for each day of your vacation!
Golf
There are many excellent golf courses within easy reach of Carvoeiro. Those closest to the Resort are:
Pestana Gramacho (18 hole par 72) situated 4km west.
Slightly closer to Carvoeiro and situated next door to Gramacho is the Pinta Course. This course has been host to the Seniors Tour 5 times.
Vale de Milho (9 hole par 27) is a Dave Thomas designed course, 926 metres long. It is situated 3km east of the Resort.
Travel
It is a 2 hour 20 minute flight from the UK to Faro airport. The Resort is located 40 minutes west of Faro.
Distances
Carvoeiro is a vibrant village with a great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars withing walking distance of the Resort. The main town of Lagoa is just a few minutes drive away. In Lago there are many shops and supermarkets. It is also home to Slide and Splash water park.
Further details
Silves is a magnificent hill town located 13 kilometres north-east of the Resort. It is dominated by a castle which dates back to the Moors. With narrow cobble streets and wonderful architecture it is certainly worth a visit. Sit in one of the excellent cafes and admire the scenery.

About the owner
We live and work in the UK and purchased this property as an investment (oh well!) but also as a place escape to where we can relax and enjoy the sun, sea and sand. We looked at property in several countries and found that The Algarve had, in abundance, everything we were searching for.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We purchased our apartment in Monte Santo Resort in 2008 while it was still being built so we did not receive the keys until 2009. We fell in love with Carvoeiro the moment we laid eyes on the village. It has a beautiful white sand beach with lots of restaurants and cafe's around it. The resort is just a 12 min walk away, so we love to stroll there and sit at one of the beach side cafes or just on the beach enjoying the views and sunshine or sunset. Carvoeiro is quick and easy to get to from Faro airport. One of the best shopping centres in the Algarve is less than 15 min drive away. There are two excellent golf courses less than 5 minutes drive away. It is also the same distance to Slide and Splash Water Park which is reported to be one of the best water parks in the Algarve.
Unique benefits of the property
We wanted the apartment to be a home from home so it is very well equipped and, we believe, tastefully decorated. The dining table is marble and was hand made for us by a local craftsman. We have a good supply of DVDs and a PlayStation II with games. But of course during the day we really enjoy taking the sun around one of the 5 outdoor pools or stretched out on our loungers on the terrace. We also try to keep a little fit in the gym followed by some time in the Sauna and Turkish bath. Tennis or basketball is available on the multi use court. We also like to make use of the Jacuzzis on our roof terrace or by the indoor pool.
