Our cottage is a 5 minute level stroll from the meandering Rio Gilao and the famous Roman Bridge which links this old-world part of town to the newly restored centre. Nestled behind one of Tavira’s many 16th century churches, the house is a renovated grain store which offers you simple, stress free accommodation. The house is perfect for couples although it can provide cosy dwellings for small families and groups of up to 5 people. Situated in the heart of Tavira, this beautiful Eastern Algarve town boasts a plethora of sights and attractions within easy reach, whatever the purpose of your visit, our cottage can offer you a comfortable and traditional stay.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 on ground floor with double bed, drawers and bedside unit.
Bedroom 2 on ground floor with single bed (access to bathroom), large wardrobe, drawers.
Bedroom 3 upstairs with twin beds (height restricted), dressing unit and air-conditioning unit.
Bathrooms: Access through the single bedroom on ground floor and recently refurbished. Comprises walk in shower, low level wc and wash hand basin. Shelf unit and mirror.
Kitchen: The fitted kitchen has all the amenities you should need including a gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave oven/grill, kettle and toaster. Breakfast bar area and access to the enclosed and very private patio.
Living Rooms: The lounge comprises of 2 sofas perfect for relaxation. There is a TV, DVD player and speaker dock for those with iPods and iPhones. Air-conditioning unit.
Other: All rooms are tastefully decorated and sensitive to the traditional Portuguese style.

Outside
A spacious private rustic patio area with a dining table to seat 6. Two sun loungers to soak up the sunshine and a traditional outdoor shower to cool off. Barbecue.

Coast/Beach
Beaches nearby. Tavira beach is a 10 minute drive to the ferry at 4 Aguas. During the summer months a 10 minute walk gets you to the ferry which docks along the river on the opposite side of Town.

Golf
Close to more than 4 Golf Courses, the nearest being Benamor which is 10 mins drive away (3km). There are x2 sets of golf clubs (ladies and gents) anyone wishing to play during their stay can use these free of charge. Request clubs at time of booking if required.

Travel
With good airport links via public or private transport a car is unnecessary for the accommodation. Once in Tavira there is a local bus and train with good service. If your choice is to explore the surrounding hills then a car would be more suitable.

Distances
Travel by car from Faro Airpot is approx 35 mins. The Spanish border can be reached within 45 mins by car.

Booking notes
Please contact owners. A 25% deposit is required within 2 weeks of booking. Balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival must be paid in full.
Cancellations. 4-8 weeks 50% refund. less than 4 weeks No refund.
