The spacious 1st floor apartment is located in a quiet complex with a large swimming pool and children's pool set in a well kept garden. There are 2 excellent restaurants just across the road but a short walk to the village will offer numerous more very reasonable restaurants,bars and quaint little shops all within a relatively small area. There is also a golf course just round the corner and a driving range nearby if you need some practice first!

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible, as are arrival/departure times. Guests should arrange times when booking or as soon as possible after booking.

Cleaning will be prior to arrival and towels will be provided. Linen change and clean at end of each week, or at end of stay if preferred. |

Pool area has small children's playground and is fenced off with access by key (provided).
Coast/Beach
The long sandy beach (apparently 3 miles long!) is about a 15 minute walk from the complex or less than 5 minutes by car, and there are good parking areas at beach.
Golf
Alto Golf Course is about 10 - 15 min walk away.
Travel
Faro airport is about 50 min. drive from Alvor and car hire is quite reasonable though not essential as transfers are readily available. The village itself is a short walk from the complex but if you prefer a taxi ride back, it is only about 4 - 5 euro from the easily found depot.
Further details
There is a small supermarket 5 min walk from the apartment,2 great restaurants just across the road and a lovely traditional Portuguese restaurant just 10min walk away.

We are an ordinary family who enjoy a few weeks away every year in the sunshine with friendly locals, good food and drink.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
We decided to buy in this area because it is quiet and slightly out of the town but still only 10-15 min walk to the beach or to the many restaurants and shops.
We have always preferred smaller villages to the commercialised type of resort so Alvor fits the bill exactly for us.
The beach is very long with lovely bar/restaurants spread along it.
The massive pool and excellent grassy areas around it was also a major factor for us to buy at this complex.
Unique benefits of the property
Our apartment has two restaurants just across the road from us with a great steak-house a short walk up the road.
There is a little supermarket with very reasonable prices just five minutes away and a few quiet easy going bars nearby.
