A delightful villa on the Terras Novas ridge with views across the valley to the Sea. This spacious villa is our home away from home. Nearly all the rooms in the villa have access to the main terrace or balconies overlooking the pool. The kitchen has access to a decked area with a gazebo which is perfect for breakfast. Outside next to the 10 x 5m salt water pool is another dining area with BBQ with seating for up to 10. There is an outside shower and plenty of sunbeds and brollies. This villa is in a great position for a family holiday, you can walk down the hill to the Oceano supermarket for all your supplies. If you are energetic you can walk to San Lourenco beach or along to any of the great beaches along this stretch of the coast. Zoomarine, the marine park is only 10 mins drive away for the younger children or Albufeira with its restuarants, clubs and bars is 5 minutes drive in the other direction. There are 6 golf courses close by.

Bedrooms: 1st floor: Bedroom 1 with double bed and private balcony.
Bedroom 2 with double bed and balcony both overlooking pool and sea views.
Ground floor: Bedroom 3 with double bed and access to terrace.
Bedroom 4 with twin beds + extra bed if required.
Bathrooms: First floor: Bed 1 - En-suite marble bathroom with double basins, bidet, separate shower and bath.
Bed 2 - en suite marble bathroom.
Ground floor: Bed 3 and 4 - Shared marble bathroom with double basins, bidet, separate shower and bath.
Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen has a farmhouse table and seating for 10. This spacious room has plenty of workspace and glazed doors out onto a decked area with a gazebo and extending table to provide a lovely shaded spot for breakfast or other meals.
Living Rooms: The spacious living room is divided into two areas; a sitting area around the fire and a leisure area with the TV with satellite, video, dvd player, books and CD's for you to enjoy. There are two double sliding windows that give access to the terrace.
Other: There is a basement which is not included in the let. However, there is access to the garage where there is a table tennis table and a dart board.
Wifi is available. The house can be heated throughout the year with underfloor heating.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels are changed twice and bed linen once a week, the house is cleaned twice a week. The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the basement and are for the use of the housekeeper/maid. Personal washing may be done by arrangement.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is designed to allow access to the pool area from most of the house, the pool is not gated or fenced, it is therefore very important that full responsibility is taken for small children and non swimmers. There are also staircases to the first floor and to the basement without gates and a gated set of stairs behind the BBq down to the pool service area.
Winter Bookings will require a heating surcharge.

Accessibility
Good wheelchair access. My mother who is wheelchair bound has visited the villa frequently and stayed in the ground floor bedroom with access to the terrace. It is possible to reach the pool area via the garden.

Outside
The salt water swimming pool is 10 x 5m with a 8ft deep end, around the pool is ample space for sunbeds and sunshades. There is an outside shower. The BBQ has work surfaces either side and there is a teak table and chairs for up to 10. The kitchen is linked to the BBQ area by a decking walkway. We have a lemon tree that supplies us with fresh lemons throughout the year and glorious colourful bourganvillias. The terrace has a shaded area with table and chairs where you can sit and listen to music through the outside speakers and enjoy a chilled glass of vino branco. T

Coast/Beach
The villa is within 25 minutes walking or 5 minutes drive from San Lourenco Beach, Sao Raphael, Castella, Coehla, Everisto and the 6 mile sandy beach from Gale to Armacao de Pera. These beaches offer rocky outcrops, secluded coves, rock pools and a delightful walk from Gale to Everisto along a sandy path with fabulous views of the coast. There are Beach bars at all the main beaches serving great fresh fish as well as the usual favourites.

Golf
We are well served with many fine courses, the nearest is Salgados,(not for beginners) just 3km west in the midst of a water nature reserve. In addition Silves, Gramacho, Pestana and Amendoiera are all within twenty minutes to the West. Amendoeira is worth a special mention, newly completed it has two championship courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christie O'Conner Jnr. Then there are five courses at VilaMoura, two each at Val do Lobo and Quinta do Lago to the east. And don't forget Spain is only just an hour away. There is a golf booking agency in Val de Parra just 5 minutes away, they will arrange your tee time and they offer discounts that you won't get when you book direct from the pro shop on course. The agents details are in the house information folder. Most of the courses hire almost new clubs, (like Callaway), if you don't want to take your own clubs. There are special deals after 4 o'clock, play as many holes as you can, it's cooler too!

Travel
Nearest Airport Faro 30 minutes drive, there are plenty of taxis available but we would highly recommend the car hire. We can assist you with Car Hire if you wish.

Distances
Supermarket and a variety of restaurants are within easy walking distance.
Albufeira Town and Marina 3 kms. Guia famous for its PiriPiri chicken 6 kms. Zoomarine 8kms. Water Park 10kms. Salgados Golf 3kms. Silves 18 kms.

Further details
We are very fortunate to have Oceana supermarket at the bottom of the hill which has an extensive range of products for your every need and a cash point. Bank and Pharmacy are a little further at Vale de Parra approx. 1km. Fresh oranges by the roadside on your way. For the serious shopper Shopping Algarve is only 5 kms away a shopping mall which has shops, cinemas and restaurants. There is also a Macro and a Leroy Merlin opposite the Shopping Mall. At the Marina it is possible to take speed boat rides to see the dolphins, take sailing lessons, hire boats for pleasure or fishing or scuba diving. At Gale beach or Albufeira there are paragliding,; jet ski hire, banana or ring rides.
Zoomarine for all the family with dolphins whales and sea lions. There are two water parks nearby and then, of course, there is Albufeira Town with its picturesque old town and its restaurants, clubs and bars for an exciting night life. If you wish to travel further a visit to the lovely countryside offers a taste of old Portugal with lemon groves olive trees and wild flowers. The drive to Monchique with walking in the foothills, or a trip to Sagres and the magnificent cliffs at Cap St. Vincent and the wild Atlantic Surfing Beaches on the West Coast. Silves is a medaeval town with Castle. The beautiful town of Loule is worth a visit. Lisbon is only two hours away. The house was beautifully kept, gardens, pool, cleaning, not one area left unturned. A credit to yourself and your staff. About the owner
My Husband and I live in East Sussex with our dog, donkeys and horses. We have a large family and have been taking our holidays in Portugal for over twenty years. We bought our house 6 years ago and 2009 was the first year of renting. The house is our second home and is a spacious house that accommodates small and large parties with ease. We love this area as we have made many friends over the years including Louise Hodgeson who looks after the management of our house for us and takes care of our visitors. The lovely area has so many different types of beaches and restaurants and even now after all the years we still find new places to visit and explore. We love music and reading and hope that our guests will enjoy some of the varied music and books that we leave in the villa.

We had enjoyed holidaying in this area for many years, we love the beaches, restaurants and the landscape inland. We wanted to find a house that felt like a home and after a long search we found Casa Martinique. We have been delighted with our choice. It seems that all our guests have enjoyed the house too.
