Surrounded by sandy beaches, Armona is totally traffic-free and truly relaxing. Our home is on the south side of the Island, reached after a pleasant 15minute stroll from the ferry, past other charming cottages and villas. It is simply, but comfortably furnished with all you need for a relaxing holiday. A 2 minute walk takes you to the beautiful Atlantic bay with safe swimming and fantastic beaches.A handful of cafes and restaurants serve delicious sea-food and snacks and 2 well stocked mini markets sell all your daily needs. The lively fishing port of Olhao is only a 15minute ferry ride away and is famous for its wonderful markets, cafes and restaurants. The cottage has beautiful views of the coast from the rear terrace where you can relax with your evening meal from the built-in barbeque. Neighbours are well screened by lovely mimosa trees and the design of the house affords plenty of privacy.

We give a small discount for couples wanting longer out of season lets. Please contact me for further details.We have a log fire and radiators for winter rentals and chilly autumn evenings.
Please note we do not accept smoking inside the house.
Accessibility
Easily accessible with 15 minute walk to house. Ferry can be difficult for wheelchairs.
Outside
Totally fenced paved area around house. Terraces front and rear with table and chairs for dining and reclining with beautiful views of coast from rear terrace. Hammock and tiled relaxing areas. Sun umbrellas for shade. Built-in BBQ with adjoining outdoor sink and also further outdoor shower.
Small wooded area to rear of house is fun for the children to play in and also offers further privacy.
Coast/Beach
2 minutes walk from stunning Atlantic bay, with shallow water and fantasic sandy beach.
15 minute walk to ferry and a further 15 minutes by boat to Olhao where there is a large harbour, restaurants, cafes and markets. Trains from Olhao run all over the Algarve and even to Lisbon.
Water taxis are fast and fun and available 24 hours per day.
Travel
Nearest airport is Faro, a 20 minute taxi ride away.
Car hire is not necessary as Armona is traffic-free. However should you wish to explore further on the mainland it is easily available.
Distances
Olhao is 15minutes away by ferry. They run hourly through the day in summertime and 3-4 times a day in winter.
Water taxis are available 24 hours per day and are fast and efficient.
Trains are easily available in Olhao and run regularly and inexpensively all over the coast and even to Lisbon.
Further details
Olhao has a large good quality supermarket close to the ferry terminal as well as excellent markets.
The pedestrianised streets of old Olhao are fantastic to explore and there are many cafes and restaurants all along the seafront to enjoy a drink or a meal whilst watching the world go by.
