It is ideal for people looking for a tranquil location yet being very near the beaches and the historic town of Lagos with its many restaurants, beach bars, the marina, interesting shops and discos.

Changeover day
Change over day is Saturday, arrival time 14.00hrs vacating time 12.00 hrs. Luggage can be left before or after these times.

Living Rooms: Large comfortable lounge with woodburner,T.V, DVD player, radio CD player,stocked with books and games, patio doors lead onto covered terrace for 'alfresco' eating overlooking the pool.The dinning room is spacious and has table seating for 8 people.
Other: The entrance hall has plenty of space for prams, golf clubs etc. and has a cloakroom leading off.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
There is a maid five mornings a week, towels and linen changed once a week.

 

Notes on accommodation
The farmhouse is spacious and 'L' shaped and on one level making it safe for children and easy for older people.
Folding beds can be provided for additional number of people. Please note for people that have allergies or problems with animals there are dogs and cats living with the owners on the adjoining property.

Accessibility
The property is single storey, there is virtually no step at the front door, one 12cms step between lounge and dinning room, two steps of 15 cms to bedroom areas, all the rooms opening out onto the terrace have just stone thresholds/step of 12cms, outside there is one step of 20cms from the covered terrace to the top terrace, there are 5 steps of 20cms down to the pool terrace, there is a ramp from around the pool down to the lawn area.

Outside
Outside there is a large private pool 15m x 5m x 3m in deep end - 0.9m in shallow end, the pool has underwater lighting which creates a luxurious ambience whilst dining in the evening on the covered terrace, surrounding the pool the walled garden has mature palms and many colourful sub tropical plants, there is a covered terrace with table and chairs, on uncovered terraces there are sunloungers, table chairs and umbrella, dual purpose built barbeque, the pool area can be secured against small children. There is a lawn area for children to play. The house is approached by a private drive opening onto a large paved area in front of the house and open garage.

Coast/Beach
Beaches in Lagos are about 2.5 kms, 5 minutes in the car.
There are many other beaches further along the south coast worth exploring within twenty minutes drive. The west coast is about 25 minutes and popular with surfers and is always quieter even in high season.

Golf
Palmares (which has spectacular views over the Bay of Lagos)and the new Boa Vista 18 hole Golf courses are 10 minutes away. Penina Golf course has choice of two 18 hole and a 9 hole courses and are 20 minutes away.
Parque da Floresta has a challenging 18 hole course and is 25 minutes.

Travel
Faro airport is 78 kms and under one hour drive on the new motorway to Lagos. Car hire is strongly recommended and we will be happy to arrange a hire car to meet you on arrival at Faro. We can let you have Car hire details and rates of a very competive local company whom we have dealt with for many years.

Portimao/Pria da Rocha 25 klms.

Further details
For basics there is a mini market in the village. In Lagos there are supermarkets, fish and vegetable markets, banks, Museum, interesting churches a marina, watersports centre, tennis, golf, microlighting centre, there are very many restaurants both for indoor or pavement dining for all tastes and pockets, bars, discos, street entertainers. There is downhill mountain bike riding in Monchique.
