Dos Grilos is a privately set villa in six acres on the outskirts of Carvoeiro the closest beach being the fishing cove of Benegil, 2 minutes in the car. The villa has a very private pool which can be gated off for the safety of young children. The area surrounding the pool has a bbq and fixed dining area with sunloungers and shades. Just at the back of the pool is a marble t/tennis table in its own walled area, this leads down to the rustic land beyond. Carvoeiro itself is an old fishing village with a nice beach, the square by the beach, in summer has live music provided by the locals, most evenings,you can join them in their dancing, lots of shops,many eating houses,lots of bars, golf and tennis. Carvoeiro is mainly a town which attracts families and groups of golfers, we have two very large water parks within 10 minute drives and Zoomarine with Dolphin shows, bird of prey displays and a variety of fairground rides.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
Extra bed charge of £25 per week. Cot/highchair at £25 for the holiday. Winter lets are plus electricity and logs. Long lets considered at negotiable rates.
The pool is solar heated at an extra charge on request.
Late availability negotiable.
Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday in the mid/high season but a Thursday can be arranged in the low season. Access time is 4.00pm and vacating time is 9.30am.

Outside
The property is approached by a longish drive providing privacy and not being overlooked from the road. The gardens are informal and the extensive rustic land with many trees is available for guests to wander. The pool 10 x5 metres in size, which can be solar heated for those cooler months, with 8 sun loungers and two umbrellas for shade. There is a barbeque and seating area here also. Next to the pool is a table tennis area with bats supplied. The portico on the terrace has a table and chairs to seat 8 which are great for shade by day and sheltered dining at night.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is at Benegil a delightful fishing cove with beautiful clean sand and ochre cliffs. You can walk here in 20-30 minutes or two minutes by car. There are many beaches around the area all within a few minutes drive all clean and delightful.
Golf
There is a 9 hole golf course at Vale do Milho 2 minutes drive from the house and the larger 18 hole Gramacho and Pinta courses 5 mins drive in Carvoeiro. There are 2 tennis clubs the nearest at Rocha Brava and the other at Carvoeiro Clube some 5 minutes drive away.
Travel
Faro airport is approx 45 minutess drive with very good motorway access all the way to Lagoa. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Carvoeiro is 2.5km and the town of Lagoa 4km The city/port of Portimao is 10km. Many places of interest are mostly within 30 minutes and at the most 1 hours drive away from the property.
Further details
There are banks and shops in Carvoeiro with lots of restaurants and bars. There is a large supermarket just outside Carvoeiro only 2km from the property where everything is available. There are two water parks within 10 to 15 minutes and other attractions less than 30 mins away. Water sports are available on the larger beaches of Praia da Rocha or Armacao de Pera.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit required on booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. A returnable security deposit against breakage etc. of £100 or 150 euros is also required.
