Praia D'el Rey Golf and Beach Resort is one of Portugal's most prestigious but you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy the facilities and location. Within the complex is the Marriott hotel which offers spa facilities. It is only 10 minutes away from the historic town of Obidos and horse riding, sailing, biking and child safe beaches are within easy distance. This comfortable apartment has a sun terrace providing shade during the height of the day but the sun returns in the afternoon in time for those lazy sun downers. Central heating is available during the cooler months.

Prices are 'from' and based 0n 6 people sharing for one week.
Prices for smaller parties and shorter stays are negotiable. Please ask for our special rates for long term lets. A damage deposit of £200 is required for each booking which will be repaid once full checks have been completed on the apartment. Payment can be taken in euros, call or email for a price.
Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday especially in the height of the season but is flexible at other times. Arrival after 4pm and checkout by 10am. Again this can be flexible depending on when the apartment is next required.

Notes on accommodation
The ground floor position and wide doorways make it ideal for families with young children, elderly and wheelchair users. There is a shallow children's pool as well as a larger pool for more competent swimmers and both are easily accessible from the terrace. Within a 5 minute walk is a playground and within a 10 minute walk is the golf club house, which serves excellent meals and offers a takeaway service. In the high season a shuttle service runs to the 5* Marriott Hotel and club house.
Coast/Beach
The local beach is a 15 minute walk away but there are parking areas with beach access. It provides excellent sunbathing walking and surfing. Swimmers and surfers not used to the strong Atlantic surf should observe the Safe and Danger Flags. Beaches at Baleal (10 minutes drive), Peniche and Supertubos are also nearby.
Golf
Praia D'el Rey's reputation does not disappoint. It has spectacular views over the Atlantic and the Berlenga Island beyond. Set with deep bunkers, sloping greens and sandy borders, contrasting with lush fairways, it is a complete golfing challenge. The 18 hole par 72 championship links course was designed by American architect Cabell B. Robinson and is rated 13th Best Continental Europe golf course by Golf World magazine. It consists of a pro shop, driving range, professional tuition, buggies and club hire.
Travel
Lisbon, our nearest airport, is serviced by British Airways, TAP (Air Portugal) and Easy Jet who all offer daily flights from the UK. Car hire is essential but recent road improvements mean Praia D'el Rey is now only a straight forward hours drive away. Detailed directions will be provided.
Distances
The stunning town of Obidos is only 15 minutes drive away. Whilst steeped in history and famous for its traditional narrow streets, houses, bars and restaurant it also has a well stocked supermarket. The fishing town of Peniche is 20 minutes drive away. Caldas Da Rainha, a typical Portuguese spa town, is a scenic half hour drive away. Its facilities include hypermarkets, independent shops, and a seasonal market. Those wishing to be more adventurous can visit Lisbon, Estoril and Sintra.
Further details
An information pack is provided giving details of riding, sailing, local restaurants and bars etc. There are tennis courts on site where rackets can be hired. The Marriott Hotel also provides sport, leisure and spa facilities.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit secures your booking, the remainder being payable 6 weeks before arrival. Minimum 3 days rental. A refundable damage deposit of £200 (250 euros) is also required with final payment.
