Casa Raposeira is set amongst a garden of palms, on a hillside in the much sought after area of Calicos, just 2km from the little town of Moncarapacho. With its mature garden of specimen palms, orange, carob, and figs it is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the stunning country and sea views. Along with it's lawned play area, private pool and BBQ, this non-smoking villa offers all home comforts including mosquito screens and fans in the bedrooms and an open stone fireplace for cooler months. There is an excellent choice of restaurants and shops just 3 minutes drive away, and an array of glorious beaches within 10-15 minutes. Faro airport is approximately 25 minutes drive. There are golf facilities within 10 minutes, and tennis within 1/2 km. This property has obtained a Holiday Rental Licence.

Changeover day
Our changeover day is Thursday. Other changeover days may be possible in low season. We ask guests to arrive after 2.00pm and leave by 10.00am on changeover day to allow for cleaning.

| Living Rooms: | Comfortable open plan lounge with stone fireplace, separate dining room and kitchen. There is satellite TV, DVD player, HI-FI (iPod compatible) books and board games. The living room and the kitchen opens on to the BBQ and pool terrace. |

| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Linen and bath towels are provided and changed weekly. Please bring your own beach towels. There is additional maid service once during the middle of the week. |

Outside
The house is set in a two acre site, half an acre of which is landscaped with mature shrubs and trees. There is terracing all around the house, a lawned area, a garden area with stunning agave and aloe vera plants and climbing bougainvillea. The remaining scrub land provides a great place to explore! 9m x 5m pool with recliners, parasols and patio furniture. Barbeque and outside dining area.
Coast/Beach
The local beach at Fuzeta is just 10 minutes drive away. There are other superb beaches, including Pedras del Rei, Tavira Island and Fuzeta island close by.
Golf
Benamor is approx 25 minutes.
Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima are approx 30 minutes.
Colinas Verde is 10 minutes (9 holes)
Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Vilamoura are approx 30-35 minutes to the west.
Travel
Faro airport is 25 minutes drive. Car hire is essential.
Distances
Good selection of restaurants, banks, pharmacy, post office and petrol station at Moncarapacho, just 3 minutes drive. Historic Tavira is a must at 15 minutes drive, the Ria Formosa National Park is 10 minutes and the palace and Roman ruins at Estoi are just 10 minutes drive.
Further details
Moncarapacho has two excellent restaurants - Colibri and Antonio's which are highly recommended for their Portuguese dishes. The new supermarket at the crossroads - Jafers - boasts a very good butchers counter. More information can be found in the villa's house book.
Booking notes
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm booking. The balance to be settled 4 weeks before arrival. Cancellations less than 4 weeks before arrival are non-refundable. It is strongly advised that guests take out travel insurance.
