This luxury townhouse ticks all the boxes! Casa Dragao will comfortably sleep two families offering spacious and homely living accommodation. It is situated in a quiet cul de sac with the beach, bars, restaurant and shops all within walking distance. Air-conditioning is also available at an additional cost. The villa has been recently refurbished with good quality furnishings. The property is tiled throughout and the living rooms are bright and airy with a very well equipped modern kitchen. The outside living space is stylish and secluded with a private pool 4m x 7m (which may be heated at an additional cost) and a bespoke shaded area and traditional barbeque. Notes on accommodation
The wood burning stove provides heating in the winter and the air-conditioning units also work as heaters. All the bedrooms have wooden shutters.
Casa Dragao is suitable for families. The entrance to the villa has a locked gate, and there is a gate leading to the enclosed pool area for added safety. A cot and highchair is available on request.
A hairdryer is also available and there is a safe for valuable items. No smoking please.
Outside
There is a paved area at the front of the villa with parking for two cars. This area is well lit with recessed lights along the edge of the driveway and lights on either end of the entrance gate. There is a small garden with mature plants, including a palm tree, lemon and orange tree. The back of the property is completely tiled over two levels. The lower terrace area extends the width of the villa. Shade is provided by unique blue and white sails giving a nautical feel. This makes an excellent dining area or a quiet retreat. The outside dining furniture is good quality with seating for 10 people. There are 6 sun loungers and an amazing hammock. Steps and a gate lead to the private pool area with trees and shrubs to the rear. There is a traditional portuguese barebecue and room for more seating. The pool may be heated at an additional cost. There is also an outside shower. The outside area is well lit with lighting both around the terraces and in the pool.
Coast/Beach
There are a number of beaches to choose from. The nearest beach is a 15 minute leisurely walk.
Golf
A 9-hole course within 5 mins and two 18-hole courses within 10 mins drive. Several other courses within 20-30 mins drive.
Travel
Faro is the nearest airport - approximately a 45 min drive. Although a car is not necessary as all amenities are within walking distance, you may want to hire one to explore the area.
Distances
A 5 min walk to the nearest restaurant, a 10 min walk to the village with numerous bars and restaurants, a 10 min walk to the tennis courts (4 tennis racquets available at villa), a 15 min walk to the beach and village square, a 3 min drive to the nearest supermarket.
Further details
There are a wide variety of restaurants, bars and cocktail bars in the village, and the village square provides free evening entertainment throughout the summer for all the family.
There are numerous local activities: golf, swimming, diving, wind-surfing, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, water skiing, tennis, surfing, fishing, walking.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We had spent many happy holidays in the Algarve before we bought Casa Dragao.
It took 18 months researching the area to find the perfect villa in the ideal location. It has everything! Walking distance to the bars, restaurants, beaches, shops etc. In a quiet cul de sac with it's own heated pool and 4 bedrooms.
We did not want a property on a complex with shared pool - we wanted something individual.
We bought Casa Dragao in November 2008. The day we completed the purchase was very exciting until I lost the keys on the way back to the villa! We spent the next 3 months refurbishing the property, putting in air conditioning and adding special touches to the decor and furnishings.
I hope you will agree that the end result is stylist, friendly and homely - we love it!
Unique benefits of the property
We have tried to think of everything you may need to make your holiday as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The villa is very well equipped from modern kitchen appliances and a TV with all UK channels to an ironing board, bathrobes and scrabble! As Casa Dragao is especially suitable for families, there is a proper cot (not a travel cot), high chair and blender.
We think Casa Dragao ticks all the boxes and is ideal for two families. It offers a lot of space, excellent facilities and nearby amenities at a reasonable cost.
The accommodation is very flexible. We have had bookings from families, couples, people getting married in the Algarve, and also honeymooners!
