The Villa is superbly serviced with a central vacuum system, electric shutters, remote control gates, external perimeter lighting, intercom, gas central heating and wood burning fireplace.
The Villa in only a 10min walk to the charming town of Obidos and the castle etc. which means only a short stroll home after a pleasant evening out.
Accessibility
The Villa has a large bedroom and bathroom down stairs which makes it suitable for wheelchair users. Raised tiled patio area at the back of the property can gain you access to the pool.
Outside
Enclosed walled gardens with rural aspect. Heated private pool 9m x 4.5m with Jacuzzi type semi circle leisure area, ideal for children as pool is 1.3m to 1.5m deep. Lawned areas, colourful gardens, view up to Obidos Castle (10 mins walk) BBQ, sun loungers, paved outside eating area with table, chairs, umbrella etc. Off road parking in quiet cul de sac. Garage.
Coast/Beach
Foz do Arelho beach where Obidos Lagoon meets the Atlantic is a wonderful location offering shallower warmer waters with local fishing entertainment across a beautiful lagoon, promenade with bars and restaurants and summer activities supplied by the local council. Other beaches lies approx 10-15 mins in either direction with surfing at Peniche (traditional fishing village) and Baleal with S Martinho do Porto and Nazaré to the north.
Golf
A number of golf courses are within close range to our villa, all just 15-20 mins driving distance. Including Praia del Rey, Golden Eagle (Rio Maior), 5* Royal Obidos Resort and 5* Bom Sucesso.
Special interest holidays
The beautiful town of Obidos holds many great festivals throughout the year. These include the stunning medieval festival in July which cannot be missed, the town of Obidos comes alive with locals displaying medieval costume, food and dance. The highlight being a stroll around the medieval village with its display of entertainment, local crafts, food and great wine. There is an opera festival in August a classical music festival in September. The Christmas festival held from December - January will amaze children and adults alike with its cobbled stoned streets as artificial snow falls and a visit to Santa's Christmas village wishing all a merry Christmas, people skating on the ice rink to the sound of Christmas tunes and of course the hot-punch or famous Obidos hot chocolate is on offer. Also the world chocolate making festival in February that has life size chocolate statues on view and of course chocolate to eat or drink.
Travel
Lisbon approx 45 mins drive to the south.
Porto approx 2.5 hours to the north.
Faro approx 3 hours to the south.
Distances
Obidos is 5kms from the city of Caldas da Rainha with good shopping areas, a daily fruit and vegetable market.
Sao Martinho do Porto (10kms) is a child friendly beach with shops, restaurants, play area, board walk and cycle/skating track. Also within 15 mins drive is the surfing beach of Baleal and the fishing town of Peniche where you can buy the fresh catch of the day. Many historical towns (Fatima Etc.) and vineyards are within easy driving distance.

Walk to the supermarket with bread shop/coffee shop. Obidos itself offers has weekly fruit veg market, small supermarkets, variety of restaurants, bars, outside eating areas, banks, post office, tourist shops.
