There are three new golf courses and a number of beaches within a 10 minute drive.

Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. Arrival time is 4pm though you may leave your luggage at the villa from 10:30am. Departure time is 10am.

Outside
The property is screened by a hedge and the garden is mature. The pool is large and the surrounding patio and lawn area is spacious, with plenty of sun loungers, outdoor chairs, tables and umbrellas. There is an outdoor shower and a barbecue area at the pool.
Coast/Beach
Beaches in the area are clean and safe, with cafes and bars on the sands. The easiest to reach is Manta Rota, a 10-minute drive from the villa. Tavira Island beach, accessible by a 5-minute ferry ride from the centre of town, is rated by some as the best in Portugal. There is a nudist beach on the island.
Golf
There are three new golf courses (the Benamor and two at Quinta da Ria) within a 10-minute drive. The world-renowned courses at Villamoura are about 40 minutes west on the motorway.
Travel
Faro international airport is a 30-minute drive.
Distances
The villa is a 15-minute walk from the nearest shops, bars and restaurants. A further 5-minute stroll takes you into the centre of Tavira, where there are plenty of supermarkets, bars, etc.
Further details
Tavira is a charming, picturesque little town in the unspoilt eastern Algarve. The town centre has changed little since its heyday in the 18th century and it carries an air of faded elegance. It is laid back and strongly traditional yet has a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Festivals are held throughout the year, many of them dating back centuries.
Booking notes
We require a 20% deposit to secure a booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before the arrival date. Cancellations: if a cancellation is made up to 8 weeks before the arrival date we retain the deposit. If the booking is cancelled 8-6 weeks before arrival, we keep 50% of the whole rental amount. Cancellations made 6-4 weeks before arrival forfeit 75% of the rental total, while cancellations made 4 weeks before arrival forfeit the whole rental amount.
