It's an ideal location for peace and quiet and total relaxation enjoying the Portuguese way of life in this lovely valley. The VillArtur's is also nearby the touristic town of Albufeira and a historic town of Silves. It is built into a hillside overlooking the picturesque valley of Ribeira Baixa with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside with its orange groves and also a carob and olive trees. The Villa is half a mile from the Village of Algoz. The main Village of Algoz, has several restaurants and bars, and a church. There are numerous banks and automated cash machines available throughout the local region. UK debit cards are accepted at most ATM', for the purposes of withdrawing from UK Bank accounts in euros. The nearest shopping centre is a 15 mins, containing a large supermarket, multiplex cinema, bowling alley and fast food hall. Boat hire and other sports activities are available in most coastal towns of the region.

Children are welcome. A cot and high chair are available for babies and infants. The area is ideal for them, with lots of countryside and many amenities in the area, such as waterslide parks, fairground rides and the beach. Parents are responsible for their own children’s safety whilst in the villa and outside area.

Outside
The property offers a large well established lawned garden with borders of exotic plants surrounding the private swimming pool. There is a BBQ and covered eating area along with plenty of extra room for sun loungers.
There is a car port and driveway with park for several cars.
Up to the 2º Floor a terrace for private sun bathing and excellent for watching the sun go down over the swimming pool.
Coast/Beach
Only a 10-15 mins drive away are Gale and Salgados beaches as well as a number of sandy coves that are a little quieter in the high season. The Praia Grande beach and nature reserve is in between Armação de Pêra and Galé. It has a beautiful long stretch of unspoilt coastline. With a natural lagoon and marshes, it is an ideal spot to watch Flamingos and other water fowl.
Albufeira Marina offers many boat trips which is the best way to see the beautiful coastline.
Golf
This is Europe's foremost golfing destinations. There are many golf courses within short driving distances from the villa. The closest is Amendoeiras Golf Courses due open early in 2008 or Star Pestana Silves Golf Course (3 miles),
But is also nearby the several courses in Salgados Golf Club, which are less than 15 mins drive away. The villa is also close to Palmares, Penina and Boavista all within 30 mins and from Vilamoura, famous for its immaculate courses, is just a 30 minutes drive away.
Travel
A car is essential and only a 45 minute drive from Faro airport. There are several car hire company's that operate from Faro airport and it is advisable to book your car hire prior to arrival.

Don't forget, FIESA Algarve one fantastic International festival of sand sculpture, more one place to visit nearby de VillArtur's. Alternatively, experience the nightlife of Albufeira to enjoy.
Portimão and Albufeira are 20 minutes drive away, and have many shops and other amenities.
There is no excuse for not eating well on this holiday. You can enjoy the local fish specialities or chicken piri-piri ate the restaurants, or relax at home and self cater. The kitchen has all you need, and are plenty shops nearby, and supermarkets in Silves and Guia, with excellent parking. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms or fish from the market.
