Casaanna is a new detached country house with private pool and is beautifully furnished. It is located on the borders of the Lisbon/Silver coast in the village of Toledo and near the spa village of Vimeiro famous for the healing properties of its water. There are numerous sandy beaches only 10 minutes drive from the house the nearest being Porto Novo and Santa Rita the area being internationally famous for its surfing. There is a locally renowned restaurant only 5 minutes walk from the house and also a mini market that sells fresh bread and provisions. The main town of Lourinha is only 10 minutes drive where you can find all the amenities necessary eg banks, shops, supermarkets and the Areia Branca beaches. Casaanna is the perfect location for a peaceful relaxing holiday and for those looking for more than a beach holiday as there are many cultural visits and places of interest to explore. Here you can feel far from everyday life and also experience the Portuguese way of life.

Accessibility
Not really wheelchair friendly due to the fact that there are a number of steps up to the pool area.
Outside
Built in BBQ area on the patio, table chairs, parasol, there are a few steps leading up to the 10 x 5 swimming pool and large poolside room (naya) the whole area being south facing and in full sun all day. There is a 7ft pool table ideal for family recreation, the naya is also an ideal area for dining al fresco, or simply relaxing on a sun bed taking in the stunning countryside views.

Nearest beach Porto Novo/Santa Rita 10 minutes drive.
Santa Cruz beaches 15 minutes drive.
Praia da Areia Branca beach in Lourinha 15 min drive. (All excellent for surfing.)
Peniche famous for its super tuber surf beach 20 minutes drive
where there is a surfing school offering tuition and equipment hire.
The beaches of Santa Cruz, Santa Rita, S Bernadino, Peniche and Baleal have been distinguished with the Blue Flag of Europe.
Golf
Nearest golf 10 minutes Vimeiro 9 holes par 34. Praia del Rey 30 minutes.
Travel
Lisbon airport only 40/45 minutes drive use of car essential.
Easyjet, BMI Baby, British Airways, TAP have regular flights to Lisbon
Distances
Nearest town Lourinha 15 minutes drive, Torres Vedras 15/20 minutes drive. Lisbon 40/45 minutes ( catch the open top buses and hop on and off at all the places of interest. ) The palace and monastery of Mafra 30 minutes. Alcobaca the largest church in Portugal and World Heritage Sight 45 mins. The medieval village of Obidos 30 minutes drive. The fishing town of Peniche sample the fresh sea food in one of the many restaurants.
Further details
There are cultural visits and activities to suit all the family. There are also many signposted walks the nearest only minutes from the house, ranging in distance from 3km to 17km. The parque da Fonta Lima is only a short 3 or 4km walk here is a park built around a natural spring in a leafy area of 10,000m2 encompassing a picnic BBQ area and children's park where you can take in the wonderful panoramic views.
The village of Vimeiro is 5 minutes drive away and is famous for its spa to treat skin, digestive, circulation and breathing systems, treatments are available from May to September. Vimeiro has two major events in August one being the remembrance of the battle of Vimeiro two hundred years ago with the Anglo (led by the Duke of Wellington) Portuguese battle with the French and the European equestrian centre that hosts events in August (free admission).
The old fishing town of Peniche is 20 minutes drive away here you can take a boat trip to the beautiful nature reserve of Berlenga Islands 6 miles west from the peninsular of Peniche. The town of Lourinha 10/15 minutes drive has lots of cultural heritage and is known as the 'dinosaur coast'. The museum in the town centre contains the biggest Iberian collection of dinosaur fossils in the world. The medieval town of Obidos also hosts many events in July and August.
