This apartment has been described, by guests, as a 'home from home.' It is light and airy with views over the garden. Private entrance, private heated pool (for sole use of guests). The pool is set in a pretty walled garden with an abundance of fruit trees, including lemons for your G&T! If you want to get away from it all and relax by the pool, then this is the place for you! The rustic courtyard with its dappled light is an ideal setting for your evening BBQ. Set in the orange groves of the Algarve. 9 kms from Silves with its red stone castle overlooking the town. Close to the Monchique mountains & many beaches. We are within easy driving distance of the Algarve Shopping centre at Guia and for those who prefer a more relaxed shopping experience there is the town of Lagos on the coast 30 kms away. The area is dotted with cafes/restaurants serving traditional Portuguese food which you will discover is very seasonal, the freshest of fish and excellent local Portuguese wines.

Changeover day is flexible. Arrival after 2.00pm and departure 10.00am. Times may also be flexible, it is after all your holiday, so just ask.

Bathrooms: 1 fully tiled bathroom with shower over the bath and glass shower screen, toilet, bidet and washbasin.
Kitchen: All the equipment you could want on holiday, including: Microwave/grill, 4 ring gas hob with extractor, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle & coffee maker. Ample cutlery, china, glasses and all utensils. If you can't find what you want, just ask.
Utility Room: Washing machine/ ironing facilities available on request.
Living Rooms: Lounge comes complete with Freeview TV with English channels, DVD/CD player, games & books. Comfortable seating for up to 4. Sliding patio doors give access to the terrace.
Dining table and chairs for formal dining are in the large kitchen.
Other: Terrace, ideal for your evening G&T or soaking up the last of the suns rays overlooks the private rustic courtyard, with seating and BBQ.

All linen supplied and towels with the exception of beach towels. Towels are changed every 4 days, with bedlinen changed on a weekly basis. Cleaning provided on a weekly basis.

Notes on accommodation
Hairdryer provided. Ceiling fans in bedrooms. Not suitable for young children. Animal lovers are a bonus as visits from the owners small friendly dogs cannot be ruled out.

Accessibility
1st floor apartment therefore not wheelchair friendly.

Outside
Apartment has the use of the 5 x 5 metre octagonal heated pool, a private enclosed courtyard with BBQ and seating. Private access and ample parking. At night there is lighting both outside and in the courtyard.

Coast/Beach
Nearest beach is Armacao de Pera approx 20 mins drive away.Portugal boasts as many beaches as days in the year.
Beaches are predominantly sandy and clean. Lagos beach and Marina are a 40 minute drive.

Special interest holidays
Green bowling situated at Parque da Floresta, Alvor and Lagoa.

Travel
Faro airport is a 45 min drive. Car hire is essential.

Distances
Silves town is a 10 min drive. Zoomarine is 20 min drive. Monchique mountains 30 mins drive. Algarve shopping 30 min drive.

Further details
The town of Silves, in addition to the small local shops also has supermarkets, a pharmacy, health centre, cash machines, a local market every Saturday, free parking in a large central car park and many restaurants. Silves also hosts music festivals and a famous medieval festival which lasts a week and takes over the whole of the town. There is a bus stop directly opposite the property with a very regular service. Silves also has a railway station.
The town of Tunes is approx 20 mins drive away where you can take the Alpha pendular high speed train (156kph) to Lisbon (2 hours) for a great day out.
