Swimming pool completely renovated in May 2010 - This lovely fully renovated farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, two double rooms with super king size beds and en-suite bathrooms. Both double rooms have space for a cot or a fold out bed. The third bedroom has bunk beds with room for a fold out bed and has a separate wc and washbasin. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, electric cooker and microwave. The comfortable lounge has three and two seater sofas, flat screen TV, DVD, Satellite and a log burner. Hif-fi with CD player, Radio, MP3 and iPod dock. French doors lead onto the terrace and covered outside seating area with lovely sea and countryside views. Private mature gardens enclose terrace area and pool. The pool measures approx. 4.5 x 8.5m, steps leading into the shallow end. Depth 0.8 - 2m. Outside pool shower. The solar powered hot water is very efficient. The property also benefits with underfloor heating for chilly winter evenings.

Notes on accommodation

A Meet and greet service provided for the hand over of keys and to ask any questions you may have about the area or farmhouse.

Outside
Approached via a driveway with parking facilities. Large mature gardens with stunning views. The private swimming pool has been totally refurbished in May 2010 with new mosaic tiles and benefits from Salt Water System (far less salty than the sea!) so no chemicals or sore eyes - great for children. The large pool is entered by roman steps at the shallow end. Heating available. The depth of the shallow end is 0.8m sloping down to 2m. Outside pool shower. The pool is cleaned/maintained twice a week. The surrounding area has 4 sun loungers and further seats for the covered eating area. BBQ available.

Coast/Beach
There are several lovely sandy beaches all within a short drive. The nearest being Albandeira, Marinha and Benagil.  This part of the Algarve has many breathtaking coastal walks with numerous sandy coves and dramatic coastline.

Golf
There are numerous golf courses in the area including Gramacho and Pinta, both 18 hole courses and Vale de Milho which is a 9 hole course. Plus many others within short driving distance from the farmhouse.

Travel
Faro airport is the nearest airport to the Farmhouse. 40 minutes drive. Car hire essential.

10 mins the picturesque small town of Carvoeiro with plenty of shops and restaurants
5 mins Water Park Slide and Splash
10 mins Water Park Aqualand
15 mins Zoomarine with its variety of wildlife and spectacular dolphin show is situated in Guia. Guia has an excellent shopping centre which includes multi screen cinema and designer shops.
20 mins Historic town of Silves. 30 mins Monchique mountains.

Further details
A large supermarket in Lagoa is a 5 min drive from the Farmhouse. Banks and ATM's at Lagoa and Carvoeiro.

Booking notes
Booking through owners. 50% booking fee required and the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival, together with an additional £200 refundable breakage/damage deposit. Discounts for last minute bookings sometimes available.

About the owner
We purchased the Farmhouse in 2008. We have enjoyed renovating the property over the last couple of years, firstly starting with the inside and now continuing with the outside areas. The pool area is now completed. My husband and I regularly visit throughout the year with our two children aged 12 and 9 years. We always look forward to the rest, relaxation, peace and quiet and the sunshine!

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We personally love the Caramujeira area as its very peaceful with beautiful scenery and close to a choice of beaches. A lovely place to relax away from crowds and noise. With the added benefit of being a few minutes from Carvoieiro if you want to be amongst tourists with ample restaurants to choose from. Along with many attractions to visit with the children.
