Casa Pajoha is on the exclusive Praia del Rey resort and has been furnished to very high standard with 4 bedrooms (3 en-suite) and a large living area making it ideal for either families or golfers. With a heated swimming pool, outdoor table tennis table, in built BBQ and grassy areas all overlooked by a sunny balcony there is much to do all within easy view. The tennis academy (with 7 courts - excellent coaching for adults and kids) and food shop are 1 min walk away. The magnificent 18 hole championship golf course is considered to be one of the finest in Europe, rated No.1 in Portugal and nearby Bom Successo has matured superbly providing slick greens and many water hazards. The resort also include a fabulous clubhouse with excellent restaurant and bar, which opens out onto a huge sun terrace overlooking the 10th fairway. Within walking distance is the 5* Marriott Hotel, which has an amazing spa and lovely restaurants. Other nearby activities include surfing, diving and horse riding

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
A non-refundable 25% deposit (of the full rental cost) secures your booking. This is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid 10 weeks prior to arrival. At the time the balance is paid, we require a deposit of £500, which will be returned to you within 2 weeks of your departure less a reasonable charge for any damage/breakages etc. If you require the pool to be heated, this is charged at £75 per week.
Changeover day
We prefer to have our changeover day as Saturday. We can be flexible, especially if booking multiple weeks or for time out for school holidays. On changeover day, access the villa from 3pm and you must vacate on your departure by 10am - not sure - ask us!

Notes on accommodation
Cots and high chairs can be hired. Small food shop can be ready and waiting for you at the villa at an additional cost. Bicycles can be available for all ages - ideal for getting around the resort without the car.
Outside
Large heated private swimming pool (if heating is required, a supplement will be charged), outdoor shower, sunbathing patio area, grassed area surrounding the villa, ideal for children to play safely. We also have an outdoor table tennis table (great fun for all ages), large 1st floor balcony which is ideal for catching afternoon and evening sun and a G + T before going out for the evening! 6 x sunbeds, outside table, 10 chairs. Sun terraces leading out of 1st floor bedrooms, sun terrace leading from downstairs double. Lounge and dining room also lead on to terraces. Large built-in brick BBQ.
Coast/Beach
The beach is approx 15 minutes walk from the villa, 5 minutes by car. The rugged coastline is spectacular with vast stretches of golden sand, ideal for sunbathing, walking and exploring. Many more beautiful beaches are only a short drive away. Details are provided in a booklet at the villa. Para-sailing, scuba diving, surfing and wind-surfing are also available further along the coastline. There is also a lagoon a short drive away where children can play safely in the shallow waters.
Golf
Our villa is minutes away by car from the golf course or a 10 minute walk. The 18 hole par 73 'links' golf course is considered, amongst the golfing media, to be one of the best in Europe and the best in Portugal easily rivalling Vale de Lobo and San Lorenzo! Its position is unique, being set in extensive grounds of pine forest and undulating dunes with spectacular view of the Atlantic and Berlenga Islands. Golfing World voted the course amongst its top 10 golf resorts in Europe and the Telegraph declared it as the 'No.1 golf course in Portugal'. Only by paying it a visit will you fully appreciate what all the fuss is about! Buggies, trolleys, Titleist and Calloway clubs to hire, a driving range and lessons are all available. A new caddymaster service is available, along with a baggage storage area. 7 mins away is the new Bom Sucesso course a challenging par 72 which opened in Sept 2008 but has quickly matured and the mix of water hazards and fast greens makes it a real challenge.
Travel
The nearest airport is Lisbon, which is about a 50 minute drive from the villa. The route is very easy and the roads are excellent. Detailed directions to the villa will be provided on booking. Car hire is advisable. TAP, Monarch, BA all fly direct from London with easy jet flying from Luton and Liverpool. BMI also fly from Manchester.
Distances
Lisbon is less than an hour away - lots of sights to see and great shopping at the Colombo Shopping Centre (all under one roof), fabulous restaurants and nightlife. Also, the Oceanarium is located in the Expo98 site on the banks of the Tagus. Obidos (only 15 min drive) is a medieval walled town with fascinating alleys, which have become home to high-class handicraft and gift shops, as well as bars and some excellent restaurants. There are details of many more places to visit at the villa.
Further details
There is a local food shop 1 min walk from the villa, a mini supermarket about 5 minutes drive and the main well stocked supermarkets are about 20 minutes drive. There is also a fabulous English speaking butcher in the next village (5 minutes drive) for the BBQ enthusiasts! There is a cash point at the Clubhouse and one in the local village, as well in as the main supermarkets. You can eat within the resort in the 5* Marriott's a la carte restaurant, family restaurant, pool-side restaurant (during the day), as well as in the numerous bar areas - tapas and delicious bar snacks. The clubhouse also has an excellent restaurant and also serves meals in the more informal sports lounge area. Outside the resort, there are an abundance of restaurants in nearby villages (5 mins drive) and a little further afield in nearby Obidos and Peniche (both about 15 mins drive away). Details of these are given in a booklet at the villa along with directions. If you prefer not to drive, we have a very reliable taxi service who speak good English and can arrange drop off and pick up at a specified time. They also have a number of vehicles to accommodate various numbers of people. The great thing is that children are very welcome in Portugal, making eating out as a family easy and most enjoyable for all concerned. So all that remains is to do just that - enjoy!

We had only ever been to the Algarve before in Portugal so were thrilled to find a much more relaxed resort, with beautiful and uncrowded beaches and plenty for both Adults and kids alike. We also found it much cheaper than the Algarve! The golf is spectacular (the best course we have played in Portugal)and we found the villa to be beautifully presented and spacious, the heated pool was a godsend for the kids. We came out for a weeks golf having played at PDR 3 years ago - the villa suited us down to the ground with more than enough space to relax, have a BBQ and even play table tennis! The course is fantastic (especially off the back tees for those brave enough) with breath taking views and a very high standard of care, There are so many places to go out to eat & drink at such good value it made the whole trip both great value & great fun. - Mike, Lancashire
